What I do not understand is how do you think it is still safe when you ride 1.5 meters in from the shoulder. That is in the middle of the lane. The people around Roodeplaat is so fed up with cyclists riding all over the road. I think they will take the law into their own hands to sort cyclists out. In the past this did happen. Then with a car behind, you hold up traffic. Do you really think the car makes it safer. I think the irritation factor for motorists is just so much higher. Backup cars go a long way in giving the cycling community a bad name.
