  7. SAS, I dont get it!!! Was on some website this morning about the seeding indexes and sent them a mail. For the life of me i cannot remember which website but about one hour later got a e-mail for my wife's seeding. This is her first ride ever. Never asked for her to be added onto the seeding system but did so for me. I entered my son the same time in the 10km fun ride but no e-mail. 10km fun ride with a seeding of 100. Even group B is mentioned. SAS seeding number removed by me. 9. Very nice!

  11. Did not notice that you barked. I still have the Exustar MTB shoes and they took the new position with no problems. My main concern is that one is now stuck using Shimano pedals. I want to get some Ritchey WCS pedals for my SS. Maybe I should flog the XT pedals and get two Ritchey's then.
  12. It's not the fit that bothers me. It's why Shimano moved the cleat backwards on the pedal. No one else does it this way.
  13. Why is the Shimano cleat further back than other other pedals using the same SPD cleat? Example, Ritchey pedals. Do one leave the cleat in the same position so by using the Shimano pedal the foot would be further back?
  14. The chain is currently made to suit a 18T sprocket. 16T installed. Will see if I can remove one link but first I'm going to replace the chain ring and get better spacers for better setup.
  15. My first build. Giant XTC2 Medium frame. XTR BB, LX cranks. Race Face chain ring for now. Magura brakes and disks. 180mm front and 160mm rear. Mavic Cross Ride wheels converted to tubeless. Specialised Sauzerwind 2.0 at front and Specialized The Captain 2.0 at the back, FireEye 16T and spacers. 18T optional and FireEye half link chain. Pedals are just for testing. Cheap ones at the moment. Would be replaced with Ritchey pedals. Bike would be stripped and resprayed in black with some trimming in orange when setup is sorted. Chain ring to be replaced and more options on spacers would be installed. BB is quite low as I previously got lots of pedal strikes. http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s510/Neder44/DSC_0246.jpg http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s510/Neder44/DSC_0247.jpg http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s510/Neder44/DSC_0250.jpg
  16. Pics of the rear and chain. http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s510/Neder44/DSC_0250.jpg http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s510/Neder44/DSC_0247.jpg
  17. Thanks for the information.
  18. Got everything from them. Blackspire was not mentioned then.
  19. Everything is brand new and no stiff link also. Checked that. Did the stick test and everything ties up. My only opinion is that it might be the chainring itself. Where do I get SS specific chain rings in JHB or Pretoria?
  20. The chain on my SS seems to jump. Just finished the build. I used a FireEye rear sprocket and spacers, FireEye springed tensioner, half link chain and a Race Face Turbine chain ring mounted onto LX cranks. Checked the chain line a couple of times to get it right. Due to the limited spacers in kit I had to move the BB spacers to the left side. While pedaling lightly the chain seems to jump. the chain run centre on rear sprocket but seems to be running to the left of chain ring. Any advice? I'm almost at the point of ditching the chain and chain ring and going for a DartMoor setup. Race Face chain ring is 10 speed though!
  21. Very nice bike. I have a soft spot for Tomassini's. Currently on my second frame from them.
  22. Was it not the Cycling Federation that started which eventually became CSA and the PPA was formed during the CF era?
  23. Currently it is 07H00 in the mornings. Summer it moves to 06H00.
  24. You can't cure stupid but you can improve your chances of being seen. Rain decreases visibility so bright colors should be better.
  25. Which frames in full suspension have a short reach? 26" with straight steerer tube. Should be like the old Scott MC series frames. Want to replace the frame on my wifes MTB with a full suspension frame. Currently it is a Giant XTC II frame but the reach is too long for her liking. The stem is also quite short. IE: Long legs and short torso.
