Yes. But I'm using it as a entry level type bike that can do more. Going to put a 170mm travel fork in it. It's just a play thing rather than a out and out racing Enduro machine. I mainly ride Marathons.

What tyre do I combine with a Onza Canis. Canis at front but rear? Marathon type setup but for muddy/loose terrain?

If it's on the actual 4x4 route it would be short steep very technical climbs. I camped there last year for the Crater Cruise.

Just changed to 1x10. The ultra would be my first race on this but thinking of 34 front 11-36 rear! Dont know if this would be wise or not?

Just started using Vredenstein 650b's. Spotted Cat at the back and Black Panther front. Very fast rolling but front does not like fadt single track turns. For thst I'll use the Black Panther Xtrack. Summer rains/mud Xtrack at back and Black Panther Extreme front. Will see how this last combo does. Pressures are 1.8/1.9 front/back.

I'm looking for someone to help me with a training program. I do mainly MTB four times a week. 2 of them are on fixed trainer (1 hour 2x in the week) and every alternate weekend for long rides(3 to 4 hours each day). Non endurance weekends are also spent on fixed trainer. (1.5 hours each day.) Thanks

Is the route elevation for the marathon available yet and how would the terain be? Rocky, hard dirt road or sand? Say compared to van Gaalen recently.

Was tough but still fun. Felt sorry for the rider who took the skin and nail of his thumb in a crash. One the rocky descent I fell 5 times. 2 Was my fault. The other 3... To all riders who stop on the route. If you cannot ride it and stop, get the @#$$/&& of the track and let the others pass. Especially on a rocky descent.

From this race I hope to get my seeding into the 30's. Cullinan got a 36 but average still at 42. Still stuck in D. But I'm scared of this ->|.|<- cold.
