Good day all. I am leaving SA soon and plan on taking my bike. I have previously flown nationally with a regular box from the bike shop but I would like to get a bike bag now. I have a size L titan racing RS ultimate. I am looking at the evoc bags (on the hub) or a titan racing bag which I kind of am leaning to since I already support the brand. does anyone have experience with these bags in a side by side comparison? I obviously would prefer a lighter one so as to pack helmets and shoes and what have you's in. I also am unsure which ones are a tighter fit or won't work for a mtb. Maybe @Titan Racing Bikes can weigh in on your bag's? I have never flown International with a bike, are there any additional costs or can I simply check it in as one of my bags? Any info/recommendations will be appreciated.

They make their stuff locally (or at least some of it). From what I know their stuff is really good.

I do not have much experience with skinsuits but that seems to be fair. If I recall correctly my friend was quoted 8k each for 4 suits. Not sure if that was maybe a higher quality one or something.

Is the juniors xco going to be broadcast on YouTube? I can’t see anything about it but we have some strong riders in the field, I’d love to watch it.

I agree with you. however as to affordability on maintenance ,Sram works out cheaper in the long run if you look at the miles you get out of cassettes and chains (XO1/XX1)

Depends if you have a lefty ocho or a 2.0 or other older lefty. From my understanding only the ocho is serviceable these days since they no longer make service kits for the old ones. I know a few people who sold their bikes with older lefty’s because of this (myself included)

Hi. This looks pretty good, I’m unsure that’s possible though since my whole rim is warped roughly 1cm or more within a short space ,also the one side is about 3-4mm lower roughly half of the rim now. But if it’s possible I’ll be interested for sure

Over what period of time are you comparing for the groupsets? I’m genuinely curious because I find they are more affordable recently, so much so I have in the last 3 months gotten two axs xx1 groupsets after running gx and xx1 mechanical groupsets from covid times.

I have to disagree, the prices two years ago were a lot higher than they are today (I’m not sure of the road side but definitely on mtb side of things)

So I recently melted my carbon MTB rim and have therefore got to replace it. I’m going to get the new hoop built onto my current hub and spokes which didn’t get damaged, I am however wondering where to do this now. Cycle lab have built me two wheel sets that were incorrectly built and one even had two loose spokes so I do not want to go to them, I’d rather go to an expert. Any recommendations for someone good in Pretoria and what would it cost roughly? thanks
