  1. CapeLandy, just learn to Red-line it all the way man! I raised my pain threshold a few notches yesterday and ended up in 10th place, pain is your friend, pain is your friend...
  2. Grabouw is going to be a busy town on the 10th, Tru-Cape also happening, I'll be at the Gravel Travel that day
  3. Was thinking the same when I saw a couple of riders on the back routes of Durbanville, not that busy, but no yellow lines either..
  4. Mine was spot on to my Polar watch. The organisors, I'm sure, will welcome any constructive feedback, just like they did last year. Already big improvement, and definitely a race with huge potential! Again I am amazed that more people take on the longer distance, Go Capetonians! No fear shown! and thx for a lekke race Philadelphia, see you next year if God so spares my life
  5. Milky, that is impressive! to still ride home including some big climbs, after redlining a race! salute man, hat's off. See you at the next one :-)
  6. Results are up! http://racetec.co.za/profile/my-events/
  7. Tough day out on the saddle! Eish! Nice meeting some hubbers, Copperhead, Milky, Rydogg, awesome stuff guys! See you at the next race
  8. In marketing terms, I'll be referred to as a "laggard", but imho, this all just sounds stupid.

  12. I am so glad you guys decided on a longer route!! cant you try and stretch it to 65km? just trying my luck...
  13. I also think its a bit early..!
  14. haha!!
  15. 14km is a good start, rolling hills farms roads, not flat like Kimberley but not exactly the Alps either..
  16. It was quite rutted due to some rain and he unfortunately just ended in the wrong line, broke his left coller bone after he broke his right coller bone about 4 months earlier in a road bike accident!
  17. The one and only hill of the day has a fairly technical downhill, my friend broke his collor bone down there last year, but don't worry, you should be fine! ;-)
  18. I don't think that river will be an issue this year, as we havent seen any heavy periods of rain and the fact that the contractors are filling up ten's of trucks daily with water directly from that river to build the intersections and two bridges on that stretch of N7, just my observation and speculation, there's still a remote possibility that half the field might drown... :-D
  19. Not to worry, you can set things right at the Philadelphia this Saturday, there's at least a hill on this race, I promise...!
  20. Jennie is very strong and watch Vera, force to be reckoned with in the near future, young and focussed. I enjoyed it much, especially my two year old boy's face everytime I came through for a lap!
  21. Hehe! Yeah, but by 1 actually, two strong ladies wipped my ass! and their results are shown seperate, overall 18th :-)
  22. Just incase someone wondered... http://www.solms-delta.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Delta-Trap-2014-Results-1.pdf
  23. Should've kept it secret, now I believe a sub 7hour will be a good time haha!
  24. The river crossing might not even be a factor this year, as we haven't had any heavy rain, but still good to just be aware of it
