  1. Congrats on the win Milky, you're a machine dude. Off the topic, did you run a 1x10 setup at the Philadelphia race? and what size front chainring if you did? I've gone that route now and remembered how strong you pulled the group on one flat section, so just trying to get my mind around the "spinning out" dilemma
  2. Not looking to bright here from the Boerewors Curtain over the sea...
  3. Balls to the Wall brother, max that mother!
  4. huh??
  5. I'll walk with you, converted to 1x10 with a 42blade upfront.....jokes, got a 32 but must still get used to it
  6. Yummy! the nastier the better, tired of dirty road races :-*
  7. Definitely on the morning at the event, but PM "The Search" for other registration details
  8. Dorsberg, Meerendal Panoramic My place where I go to when I feel the need to "detach" a little
  9. Were you the guy standing on that hill! I was quite suprised I made it all the way without coming off? following my crap form today!
  10. One of the worse days I've ever had on a bike, my whole body didnt pitch up this morning. Felt dehydrated, sore legs, deep breathing and cramped from 15km onwards (first time in months I've cramped). The terrain was challenging and beautiful, and still such a great event, I just had to unfortunately change my focus from racing to pacing... Dominic Calitz won
  11. Looking at the profile on PPA website and making a rough calculation, I doubt if the 30km will even come close to 500m climbing
  12. 1st race excitement! Enjoy every second man! I still remember my first race, Lourensford 30km, 3years ago
  13. The tuffest one of the two Copperhead, cos thats just the way we like them! GT all the way
  14. Im getting really excited about this event, entered this morning and reading about "Groenland berg, Welvanspas trails, Spur burgers forsale at the event, massages available etc etc....This is the place to be at next Saturday guys and gals!!
  15. Park assist alarm in both your bum cheeks, when car comes close, find a place to park...quickly.
  16. Looking forward to this on saturday, I feel so lucky, think I might just win a mouse pad in the lucky draw :-) Who else is racing? I'll be in a black/grey ASG Shirt, on a Black GT Carbon 9r and a white Rudy Windmax on the noggin, say HOWZIIT! Always lekke to meet hubbers at races Enjoy! b
  17. I'd recommend GT
  18. Ascend +- 1100
  19. Did it the last two years, the second climb looks smaller than the first but the loose stone/sandy gravel makes it more difficult. The first climb takes you through nice rough jeap track on the foot of the mountain, not bad, a gradual climb and nice damp section of the valley etc, very rocky downhill and a long flat fast section to the 2nd climb as I have already described, after the second climb a very technical rutted downhill section and then rolling hills home. Quite a fast race, to give you an idea, the winners finish in 2:10mins. Compared to Philadelphia...a lot less taxing on the gear and body!
  20. you still finished 7th Milky, after cycling 40km to the venue, awesome result!
  21. Its supposed to be a proper MTB saddle, the SL XC flow manganese rails, I've also realised it had nothing to do with the crash, but actually collapsed due to the bumpy terrain and direct impact of my weight
  22. Who else found the trees jump in front of you through the forest section haha! Please dont ask, my own stupidity... Also realised why my back was killing me for 40kms, my saddle rail collapsed, flipping WAR out there Saturday! Enjoyed every second of it tho
  23. Beautiful morning on the Tygerberg Trails
