  1. Fuel economy decreases substantially.

Mileage on M/T is reduced when riding on tar.

On road handling of wet roads are terrible, thus braking is influenced quite allot.

Deuler A/T's would be my reccomendation.

  2. My vote goes for a Crest wheelset. It transformed my Giant into another bike. More playful and easier to maneuver with a more lively feel. One thing about having a bike that works great is not buying the most expensive groupset or fork for a upgrade. It's about understanding how to service your bike properly, for example servicing shifter cables will fix your sifting not a new RD... SLX brakes are more than adequate if you don't contaminate your disc rotors and understand how to bleed brakes, with Shimano being the easiest of them all. So I will suggest get tools to service what you have and give your equipment a longer life and the best possible performance they can deliver which will be more than adequate. SLX cassettes/chains are basically the price of XT components a year or two back, keep that in mind when your upgraded components are due for replacement.

  3. I don't see too much comment about the Cannondale Evo.

I ride a 2011/2012 Super Six Hi-Mod and am so in love with the bike it's not even funny.

It's so good I even feel bad riding such a pristine bike.

Such a well balanced bike in all aspects that a road bike should excel at.

  4. Was a good day out in AL.

That crash between what seemed to be a fridge and car in the middle of the road was epic fail and random.

I saw two guys that came down there. Hope you guys are doing alright and recover soon.

Also had a paramedic van standing still in our lane that caused some havoc.

Came in at 2:36. Marshaling from the guys on the bikes were awesome apart from that one guy in a red Tazz that braked flat out when the marshall told him to go and almost hit him from behind.

So definitely some action out there today.

All in all a fast day with some good guys.

  5. S tracks are awesome by all means.

Saw them on CWC going for R650 ish on special some time ago.

I'm still using my Look Quartz and can't be happier.

All those pro's that you see riding with S-tracks probably were riding with Quartz before their replacements came out.

  6. Anyone in PTA East picking up a number on Friday or Saturday?

If possible can you please pick up my number as well?

    I live in Moreletta Park.

    Will send confirmation SMS/details through.

    Thanks!

  7. Love the comments...

Did the Critical Mass Ride - Pretoria last night.

First unofficial date, organised a bike, kit, the works...

She hasn't been on a bike for years, at the end of the night she was pedaling with hands off the bars for longer than I could, and it's not even her bike..

Can someone say, yes please! and man up at the same time?

Finally answered a long lasting question last night: Yes they do exist.
