  1. This probably belongs here https://www.hellopeter.com/meerendal-boutique-hotel
  2. It sounds as though Swiss Cycling has suspended MF from participating in events, while the UCI has not done so as yet as the B sample is still pending. I'm guessing if the B sample also comes back positive then the results will be amended and he will receive a suspension from the UCI.
  3. Enjoy's ProXision bibs have to be some of the best I've ridden. The value for money is probably the best in the market, and they even have some hidden storage pockets on the bib straps which is great if you want to wear them with a flannel shirt or t-shirt. https://enjoy.cc/product/mono-proxision-bibshort/
  4. I've borrowed one of these a couple times. It's super light with the shell being made of canvas, so it's easy to lift on/ off the vehicle, and takes literally 10mins to mount on the car. Once you're there it's just a matter of unzipping the sides and opening the latches. At around the R 25K mark, it's an absolute steal compared to what else is on the market. It also means you have way more space in your car for toys such as bikes
  5. A great local option is The Roofpod. Its clamshell design means it takes less than 1 minute to set up or pack down as opposed to fold over models. It's also designed to fit on standard roof racks, which means it can fit on any vehicle with standard roof racks. https://theroofpod.co.za/
  6. You are looking at R 700 for an ErgoFit and R 950 for an ErgoMax which looks at foot alignment, and leg length discrepancy correction on top of the actual fitment.
  7. Hi Rock Guy, We are now operating out of our new ErgoFit concept store at the River Club in Observatory. Come pay us a visit and we can get your fitment 100% Contact us at fittings@sciencetosport.com Look forward to hearing from you.
  8. The lady at CWC is Line Griffith's. She has done quite an impressive amount of fitments for the short time she has been doing it. She is also a qualified Biokinetisist. If you can't get s booking with her then I would gladly assist. Renay
  9. Dear cyclists, Is your bike set up correctly? ErgoFiT and ErgoMAX are scientifically formulated cycling ergonomic products engineered by Dr Jeroen Swart(as seen on SuperCycling) of Science to Sport. The result is a perfectly tailored bike sit to suit the individual, and will improve performance and comfort on the bike. ErgoFit is used by the Bonitas Professional road racing team, and the entire CSA high performance MTB squad as well as numerous other successful cyclists. 14. Thats what you should expect from Just Fun, they have proven it time and time again.
  15. Dear all Please excuse our team mate. He is a bit unusual at the best of times! But we still love him
  16. Why so negative about the Mr Price set up? They have always been good to the team and I.
  17. Hey guys, I am a GT Mr Price rider, and just to clear my and the team's name, it wasn't me. I was out racing De Grendel. Although I have done it in the past(we are all guilty of it at some stage) we are all responsible riders and don't do anything to put our team and sponsors name into disrepute. GT Mr Price is an awesome set up and we are very privileged to have such great support! Renay Groustra
  18. Business is picking up and customers are happy. I will be at the Lourensford MTB race this weekend so come and chat to me if you have any queries.
  19. Howzit, ErgoFit is a bike set up product that takes into account an individual's flexibility and neuromuscular efficiency. It is therefore possible to set you up so that you lose no power due to over flexed/ stretched muscles and also are in a position relevant to how much you ride so that your muscles are capable of working efficiently. For more info check out this link: http://renayg.wordpress.com/ergofit/
  20. Thats a fair point. There just seems to be a bit a bit of a lack of races like that in the Western Cape. Meurant does from time to time organise great events with good prize money which I am thankful for, and there are a few other events out there like the new event Oude Molen this past weekend, but they are still few and far between. On the cycling safety side of things I would like to see more road signs out on the Cape Peninsula warning motorists of cyclists, particularly on fast and dangerous pieces of roads like Ou Kaapse weg, Glen Cairn express way, and Cape Point. It amazes me how conservationists have managed to get "beware of leopard toad" signs all over the peninsula, yet there are still no "beware of cyclists" signs. Who is more important, cyclists(human beings), or toads? PPA should be the voice to get these in place, shouldn't they?
  21. I would like to add my two cents worth if I may, on behalf of the racers out there. First of all I think there are many more than 20 of you out there who are reading this and agreeing whole heartedly, but not having the guts to join the conversation. I had to say something as I am not the type to just let things that concern me just run by me. I am an elite level mountain biker, and I think it is shocking what little recognition and respect we get at the mountain bike races that PPA organise. Not that it is about the money, but there are virtually no prizes awarded to us who travel all the way out to a race to support the event. The usual response that I get from a PPA official when I ask if I should stay around for prize giving is "mountain bikers only ride for the fun of it". While that is true to a certain degree I think that they are really under addressing a need in the Cape to promote racing and competition, and to give us something to compete for. I thought is was really swak that the winner of the Hex River Valley race earlier this year only got a bottle of wine as a prize, while 2nd and 3rd got bugger all. I have done club races overseas where up to 20th place was paid out! I think it is a disgrace
