  1. I can really recommend the book Love and Respect, by Dr Emerson Eggerichs. Might not give you a better definition but will answer what question "what are we looking for" re love.
  2. Had it once, think it was linked to creatine intake in my case, during Sabie X in rainy weather & probably did not drink enough.
  3. Was also looking forward to riding there during my December holiday break but was very disappointing. Was there two years ago and it was AWESOME!
  4. The fork seems to have had some spring action, amazing that it went rigid for decades before shocks were introduced.

  13. Very sorry to hear! We protect ourselves with helmets, sunscreen, knee and whatever guards needed, but the biggest threat we can do very little about.Glad you're physically OK.
  14. Also bee sure your heart can take it. How is the pulse when you decide to get off & start pushing up a hill?. If there's any irregular beats go see a doc. Think about other symptoms you may be experiencing. Up to the age of 22 I had a heart rhythm problem associated with exercise. After that was fixed life changed for me & I could give all when I wanted to, no problem. Remember, it will get better.
  15. Did you do the upper & lower canary routes in Jonkers? I spent holiday time there December, managed to get to Tokai and Lebanon as well. Awesome places when you're coming from Gauteng! Near town there's also Coetzenburg around to Eden you can do. Mountain-Bike-Trails
  16. Awesome, thanks for the feedback, stuff like that is what one remembers long after any race.
  17. Thanks for the post. Also had cramping lately & think it might also have to do with heat. Took Potassium and Magnesium but will add more Calcium in the mix.
  18. Phew, whatta thread, my 2 cents: I do Nokia 6710 navigator, and although the keys are very unpredictable and the zoom slider gives you gray hair, I keep it & use ST a lot, + love to take pictures while cruising around & can later see where they were taken. As i'm no podium finisher and rather watch where i'm going, real time data is not an issue. Also found a race is very rarely the distance given at briefing, so exact distance done is not saying much.It does it's thing inside my camelback and on being rather lost at times, has helped me to the nearest tar road. ST community i also find interesting, pics from guys all over the world, some taken at places only MTBers can appreciate. In short: one device, many features, all of which dedicated pricier units can do better, but works for me.
  19. OK I'm in, Featherbrooke Village, c/o H Potgieter and Peter right? Will we at least be a quorum ;^) ? I'm on the bright yellow MTB.
  20. If my admin works out I hope to join the group on Saturday.
  21. Took it during Sabie Exp. in 2008 after some very good results during training. Do think it helped me... but next Saturday night I was on my way to ER with a kidney stone. Never had kidney stone before or after that.
  22. Anybody riding around here this weekend???
  23. And remember, it will NOT be as clean and clinical as in these pictures.
