  2. sportypal also works well, using it on Nokia and Sony Ericson http://www.sportypal.com/
  3. w81 plz add me, 1,83m 84kg thanx
  4. matty i ride hardpack most of the time ie. jonkershoek, and the monorail is a very good tyre upfront, i won't go crossmark upfront. i have had a conti moutainking on aswell, also very good, grips just as good as monorail, i just think the monorail is faster. Maxxis Lust is good, worth the weight and the money! happy riding
  5. this pic shows it. thanx chris and all you hubbers
  6. these seems nice! bifocal? so the top half normal and bottom half 1.5/2/2.5? R200 is a bargain
  7. thanx a lot guys for a great response. after years of cycling we actually have a few pairs of d'arcs lying around. will find out about inserts for them, from the optom my dad got his specs
  8. My father these days has to wear his specs when cycling, multifocal for short and far distance. So far he has used his normal specs, which is not ideal. Last weekend we went to sunglass hut, and my father liked the Oakley Jury which has replaceble lenses. So we went to the optometrist to hear if the can cut lenses which will fit in the Jury's. They quoted R4000 for Zeiss lenses, multifocal and transitions inc.. This all adds up to R6000 which is just to damn expensive. I know there are other options like bridges you can put in, like with the Adidas Evil Eye. Would you please be so kind to tell me about what your using and what it cost you. Thanks hubbers!! Much appreciated
  9. everything has a natural frequency, and when the brakes and your frame have the same Hz, it gets worse because the Hz resonate, thats why some have no problem and others do. I know Juicy's squeal on Giant 29er, but i have no problem with my elixir R on schwinn carbon.
  10. Monorail or Mountainking upfront, larsen/crossmark at back. Currently have monorail front and crossmark back, very fast! Monorail is much faster than mountainking and grips almost just as well. CWC has new Tubeless tyres under 500g each, trying them next
  11. i'm trying that one now, replacing the chain at about 0.8% wear, just before the chain damage the cassette and rings. Chain alone is much cheaper than replacing everything at once
  12. Fish yes it is possible to get a year permit! Simply take ID photos with the money (about R250 single / R350 family) to the gate at Jonkershoek, fill out a form, and your card will be ready in a week. Unfortunately no online application. Hope this helps!
  13. saw the video, some crazy ridin there in the canyon
