I've done that section only once on my roadbike. I did not do it at race pace, but the surface is fine. Really, one of the best gravel roads I've ever seen. Just be careful where the gravel meets the tar - easy to pinch flat

Jip and then there is a race like Eselfontein this weekend, where I pay my entry with a Easy Entry Ticket for 70km of the best single track. And the water tables are stocked, and there's a carnival atmosphere and and and! Better value than that you will not get. Yip - trophy hunting is the worst of the lot. Who will ever know exactly how canned the poor animal was when you shot it etc? If you hunt for fun and or the experience of the hunt and the adrenalin rush, then it is probably better to leave that off the Hub. That said, have you ever heard of "bokkoors". Makes you shake like a leaf and it becomes pointless to pull the trigger.
