  1. Hopefully I will be starting the 94.7 before 10am
  2. OK, worked it out D2D 38.17 Race for Victory 37.66 (Your time in minutes divided by winning time in minutes) -1 then x 100
  3. Someone please give me the formula for working out seeding index Thanks
  4. Normally the timing company picks it up and DQ's them
  5. And I never thought that I would ride my bike on a dirt road, generally at the parking of a race if I see terrain like that I carry my bike over it
  6. I enjoyed it, my only gripe is that they handle the online entries themselves, every so often I check on the Cyclelab online entries so obviously I never heard about this race. By chance someone mentioned it this week and I managed to get a late entry. R230.00 and no T-shirt or goodie bag. I wonder how much business they lose by not having it on the normal online entry system. Wind was a bugger, it was a headwind up the two steepest climbs, at times I thought I was going backwards. The parking, the start, the route, finish and the marshals were great. Pity I only realized 30 seconds from the start I forgot my sunglasses in the car
  7. I have done about 5 races and am still not in the seeding index Starting in DL on Sunday. What is my start time?
  8. OK, so I learned my lesson good. While I was at Cajees buying the bike they asked me if they could do a tubeless conversion, it wasn't cheap but it turns out they used a cheap kit. When I eventually managed to seat the tyre at the garage there was sealant coming out the base of the valve, the spoke holes and the rim join. Now with the Stans kit it is very easy to pump with a compressor and even possible with a floor pump and there are no leaks at all right from the word go
  9. I see the Racing Ralf on CRC. Not the other, do you see another option, I may as well order at the same time if I get wheels.
  10. I have a compressor, a 200 litre. Gave it to my brother, no space. Garage has a compressor but I still struggle there
  11. If I get the wheels my budget will be a bit tight on the tyres. What should I get? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=797
  12. Anyone have a discount code? I might be placing an order, I will get free shipping so can help others in my area
  13. The rims are DT Swiss 485d, 32H If I can't get anything else then maybe I must get the XT 29 wheels
  14. Crispy. Do you have any 29" rims to sell that pump up easy?
  15. Do these tyres suck? The only way I can get them to seat is at the garage and by the time they seat I have lost a whole load of sealant. Is there another better option that won't break the bank or is there a trick to it?
  16. If I go with 166ml I can do 3 tyres I want to put in enough so it works properly
  17. I had to put 3 plugs in my tyre to get it pumped back up. I just cleaned out all the sealant but not sure how much Joe's to put in a 29" tyre. If I put 166ml I can fill 3 tyres with a bottle but not sure how much I should put.
  18. How much Joe's sealant must I put in my 29" tubeless tyres?
  19. Hi Johan How much should I expect to pay for the bolt and the outer plate of the jockey wheel cage for Ultegra 6700? as shown in pic Thanks.
  20. I took the cage off. The bolt that holds it on has a sleeve and that sleeve is ceased on. I tried to hold it with a cloth and a vice grip and turn the bolt, it didn't work out too well and it is not pretty, I need to go to the LBS tomorrow.
  21. I think I see the problem. Sorry I will try explain but I don't know the technical terms There is a cage with 2 jockey wheels on it, this attaches to the derailleur. Where it attaches it is not moving freely so in my small ring at the front and my small ring at the back my chain is slack. Explains why it was not happening in the big ring. How do I fix?
  22. My chain started slipping in the small cogs today. I replaced the chain and cassette in about April According to my Park Tool gauge the chain wear is 0.75. For Johan's benefit I hung it from the ceiling and measured between links as 24 1/16" Was my chain stuffed, the measurements don't seem to indicate it. Why would a chain just start slipping? I could understand it if I had just replaced the chain and kept an old cassette but I have not touched it since April.
  23. Sweet, I am looking forward to it. You can even break my bones, no girlfriend to be cross with you
  24. Anyone?
  25. Keen if available Organizers are trying to cut expenses by having their own entry system but I think they would get more exposure using Cyclelab's I only found out about the race yesterday
