  1. It took me It took me 4700 posts while I was saving for the bike
  2. I like that it has a side stand
  3. Hi I am new to cycling single speed and I can get this for R1000.00 - Should I buy it?
  4. Same height here and same size bikes
  5. I had the problem on my road bike - solved it with Specialized Ribcages Another problem I had was with the bottle cages tilting back on the pivot of the cage holder even with the adjustment pivot bolts tightened well. I solved this with some Pratley glue
  6. Probably been posted before but it is Friday afternoon
  7. You are an ultimate hubber when you know how to remove skid marks from your cycling pant
  8. Or in the case of rear brakes the lack of tyre grip that causes the wheel to lock which can already be achieved by grabbing a handful of the rear brake lever
  9. R180K damage on my R90K bike - Maybe I just wanted a new bike - oh, wait a second, that one was only 3 months old
  10. Yes, a lady in my complex complained about me the other day, she said I almost rode into her car on my bike - I often ride into cars because it is such fun
  11. Guys do it in my road all the time, they come out of side streets with no intention of stopping and pull out in front of you so they don't have to stop and wait for you to pass. FFS it is a stop street!!!
  12. Idiots not seeing you is just that, they are idiots. A guy came out of a side street and I hit him on my superbike - I had my high beam on and it was dark and a superbike lights are very bright. He got out his car and asked where I came from because he never saw me - it was a straight road - he didn't see me because he skipped the stop street because he is an idiot. Then he said the accident was my fault and I drove into him for no reason- WTF?
  13. You cannot go to the CPA if you agreed to being ripped off - Only if you didn't get what you paid for.
  14. In a car 55/60 halogen globes are legal but not 90/100 and 90/130
  15. Cajees work the same as Incredible - Good deal on the main item to get you in the shop and hammer you on the extras. When a newbie starts cycling he calls around for the best price on the bike and assumes he will get a good/fair deal on the rest from the same shop. My entry level laptops go for R500.00 more than Incredible but I sell the HP multifunction printer for R1K less and Microsoft Office for R1K less than Incredible so the client spend R1.5K more at Incredible and thinks he got a good deal.
  16. Cajees prices are way inflated, they offer good prices on bikes and load the extras. I prefer Westdene, their prices are good and they give everyone 10% off - No haggling.
  17. That will do 3 years of mountain stages
  18. I wouldn't stop at 400, that is quite course
  19. My brother's Lambretta is full carbon bodywork - not cheap - We built it up just to make sure everything fitted properly, now we need to strip it down and get the frame sprayed - NOT THE CARBON.
  20. If you rub down till you get to 2000 water paper you may be able to get the carbon to shine (Carbon doesn't really shine but it might look dull and terrible) with a good plastic polish like Novus 123 - it is a 3 part polish starting with a course compound - I think it is expensive though.
  21. I think the only option would be to rub it down with water paper but you would have to spray with clear after because the carbon would be dull
  22. I think dry ice blasting and soda blasting would too - or even the carbon.
  23. Hubless has already been done
