Ive never had the xtr's. Cant comment Hope m4's I had. Sold them to vinny. They provide good stopping power but its got a huge lever section. Its not the easiest of brakes to pair nicely with your shifters unless you move them far away from each other. And they not on they light side Formula I have. Ive always been a Magura fan and will always be. But these brakes have impressed me massive amounts. They have awesome stopping power. And they super light. Not cheap and from what ive heard heavy on pads in the rain and mud. Ive got the R1's with reach adjust and pad contact adjuster. They work moerse well. Not just sales trickshit there. Good luck. Ps also take a look at the Magura mt8's

Im riding one of the spez hardtail. Its an awesome bike. I love every second on it. Comes standard with formula r1's and these brakes are the bomb. Groupset is also really good. Shifters and brakes are on one clamp so the handlebar is clean. No lockout levers. And the brain fork is awesome!!! Roval wheelset is really nice and stiff. Upgraded mine to ztr arch and cant really say they lighter Changed handlebar to an FSA SL-K. Changing seatpost to Ritchey carbon. But all of the above aint really neccesary. Pity you in cape town otherwise you would have been more than welcome to try mine out

Ive never been able to find the spez tires. Who sells them?

Ive got no real complaints as I only did 4km of it before me seatpost decided to call it quits. Only real gripe is the seeding. Its a complete balls up in my opinion. People starting in B C and even D bunches that really do not belong there. Look im no race snake but hells bells. Otherwise not bad and well done to Burry!

When are the seeding details coming out?

Since my first bmx I got in std 1 front was right and rear left. All bikes after that was like that. If it wasn't I changed it! Its just seems RIGHT!

Ive got the exact combination. Bought from Naas. Sommer did a rim tape with insulation tape. Popped the tires on. Pumped up to approx 2,5 bar. Removed the valve. Added sealeant through the valve with a syringe. Pumped it up again and voila. MB

Okay thanks for the input guys! I'm going to leave everything as is until it breaks. The brakes I'm leaving the R1's on. Seatpost ill change to carbon. Wheels have been done aswell as handlebar. Will replace the parts as they become unserviceable.
