  1. cable routing is not right loosen and tighten over top from angle you sent and maybe adjustment
  2. sampras

    x8 vs x9

9 speed chain should work on 8 speed parts just fine too climbs in 24 x 32 not hard either you should be fine and a very hard wearing drive train just keep it clean to not accelerate wear, applies to all drive trains clean is better.
  3. will work fine but maybe add some liquid latex to thin mixture abit
  4. 1142 cassette 10spd will fit your cassette feeebody no need to replace so 10 spd shifter cassette chain and 1 by chain ring, rear derailure all need to be replaced. wheels are good to go
  5. bad quality and not worth the costs and headaches down the line
  6. only sand it rough paint strip means ali primer and paint rough you can just paint it.
  7. remove the fork and lower headset cup get a engineering firm to make a steel ring approx 3mm thick that fits snug over frame paint it fit it and reinstall bottom headset cup and fork and keep an eye on it to see if the crack runs at all. not a good idea to weld there, repaired a frame that cracked this way but top repair 4 years and still no problem or crack running they should not charge too much. hope this helps not a plastic cable tie or tape = hospital bills
  8. esi silicone grips lighter faster tread pattern for speed or larger tyre volume for comfort suspension seatpost
  9. got 3 sets at cajees parkmeadow they should still have a few 1 1/8
  10. if pcd matches ie bolt holes there are no ramps on inner 24 so should work just fine with shimano
  11. could help you out with dual seatpost type if that helps
  12. Hi there, sorry on a unrelated topic do you have marzocchi 30mm seals available at the moment?
  13. got to brake them in properly, 30 min of stop start up to 25-30 then one hard pull will do it
  14. sram attacks are 1:2 ratio and do work but... x5, x7 , x9 and on wont.
  15. or get a square taper 175mm road triple 30 42 52 remove 52 it will fit and line up the 2 rings between your current triple setup and you can safely cross chain with a slightly loner chain fsa vero on chain reaction for 390 + bb and a fer spacers and away you go same as 30 42 new xtr double for under a grand but a bit heavier. also an option or campy record 30 42 52 if solomons still have .... unconventonal but works really well. just another option aslo will work 2x10 no new crank needed
  16. hi Anton your lbs can contact shimano and find out about 40, 28 for you, but 40 tooth on 32 inner mount might touch your frame? also shimano new 2x10/9 crank positions the 2 chain rings between the 3x9 spacing to adjust the chainline,.... but may just be bad front derailure setting or too much cable tensions too. jade at shimano could advise you i'm sure would have to see it to tell you exactly whats wrong.
  17. sram new rings will not fit and shinano outer chain ring normally 42 or 44 but you can go 26 and 36 those will fit and be available. is it for 29er or 26? will work either way 26,36 no outer chain ring will allow you to run any gear or cross chain , much better chain line. 9 speed rings should run fine with a 10 speed chain
  18. is it a sid with a carbon or ali crown ali one i might have a solution.
  19. download pdf service manual and go for it was quite simple to do use 10wt oil to slow rebound rate if you like. manual will show how to reset internal spacers was much better as a 100mm fork too no more harsh top out
  20. check if your fork is disk compatable then you can get a wheelset for R600.00 and bisk brakes for R500 to R1000 and it will be sorted, maybe a problem on seatpost size and headset? i have a spare v brake compatable giant frame in a medium or a diamondback in large if you dont want the disk brake route
  21. should be fine if alsl 1:1 sram shifter and sram rd not if 1:2 shimano
  22. Have had 6 or 7 done successfully, but you need a new steerer to replace the old one, springs can be made to a spec of your choice price varies on the job and how many springs you have made.
