  1. We need more pics of SS in the wild... Ryan has been quiet lately....
  2. Awesome bike Lance! We have one of those in our collection and it I just spectacular to ride. I love that fork! Great build.
  3. Same applies to everyone sadly but Niner is the least "normal" of the mass produced I think.
  4. Nearly there....
  5. And the build continues... with me stuck in JHB and the build in DBN... thanks again to my patient LBS...
  6. Yeah it's looking much prettier than I imagined
  7. Busy building this. Massive thank you to chainworx in durban.
  8. Thanks bud, your advice is always spot on! I am in JHB full time until the end of July, we should meet up.
  9. Right... the frame and fork (Singular makes stunning forks) have arrived at my local post office but I am in JHB for work so it has to wait for me to get home. *sigh* Hoping to build the bike on Friday morning. As usual, Chainworx in Durban will be doing the spanner throwing. Any tips on the EBB? Grease well before the initial build? Any specific grease?
  10. thanks bud, don't know how I missed that!
  11. Gorgeous bageara! Chaps I'm looking for a straight steerer 29er suspension fork. Please pm me if you know of one for sale

  13. Cant wait for more pics of this bike and your review...
  14. So the upgrade kit will cost what? R3500?
  15. Thanks chaps, Ryanpmb has helped me work out what I want, he knows his stuff. I'll post pics once everything arrives. I'm looking for options on ss cranks. Any ideas?
  16. My new build has stated.... Singular Swift frame - Medium Singular Swift Steel Fork Hope/Crest Wheels R1 Brakes with braided hoses and carbon levers Look Pedals Everything is on its way in so pics will follow in due course...
  17. not the toughest or the prettiest ride... the one redeeming feature is the end when you are approaching Moses and you have the sea on your left. The concrete highway is in terrible condition so please be careful on that section.
  18. any new builds happening in SS land?
  19. Love the look of those Sestas... almost like a thinner racier BMC.
  20. Don't worry about what your bike weighs or what someone else's bike weighs. Weight is a function of gravity and there is nothing that you can do about it. Just ride your bike. If your bike weighs less than 13kg you are onto a winner. I suggest you weigh your bike with tools, full water bottles, the food you will carry on the ride etc... numbers are pointless....
  21. to spice things up drivers should be allowed one intentional "Maldonado moment" per year...
  22. And Ryan can supply the bars and fork BTW
  23. Awesome that is one of the cleanest Stage builds I've seen to date! S&j keeping it classy
