  1. Interesting going through these pre-Epic posts where gunners speculated on how this combo will do :-) Hindsight, 20/20 etc ...
  2. Faf will obviously come back in. Is there merit in dropping a bowler for him to keep fudgie? Hensricks and Lopsy proves expensive, so if we are facing spinning wickets we may get away with Faf/Fudge bowling a bit?
  3. I don't know if it is viable but you could potentially mark the next race routes the weekend before and make it accessible to riders. They can then give feedback if all the turns are easily followed, just until you have a bit more experience?
  4. I notice he finished a stage in 5th position. I know him from his biking days, is he now cycling full time or here as a celeb? If the latter it must be the best finish for a celeb ever!?
  5. Jinne dis mooi :-)
  6. Started Breaking Bad 2 weeks ago, now on season 2; it has it's moments ...
  7. What are the options for locking the bike at the station for the day?
  8. So 3 weeks later I eventually went to the vet tonight. Cleo lost most mobility the weekend as her hind legs became problematic. I had to physically carry her to garden for wee and bring food etc. Increased medication but no improvement. Vet did some tests, reckon cancer in the bones. Apparently then it is already spread to organs such as lungs. So Cleo was put down about 19:30. We are already missing her stacks :-(
  9. My tyres indicate 1,9 - 3,7 bar so I usually go halfway; around 2,8 bar. Using this tool it suggests 1,8 and 2,0 bar, but that is very close to the minimum so can't be good for the tyre? I have 29" 2,25 tubeless and weigh 85kg
  10. Last I heard Mitch GF was a serious martial arts chick, kind of in the Aus national karate squad or something
  11. Maybe we will have an miracle 5th day again, then bat for the draw, at least we don't lose, why go for a win?
  12. Biker shot in the back, not much of a threat .. Let's wait for the court case.
  13. Uhm, the biker was killed, so likely the motorist should be viewed as the vigilante?
  14. I didn't reply cause I don't wear spandex and your example isn't clear about what I'm being pelted with. If it is water I wouldn't care.
  15. The achievements relating to number of test, especially those as captain is more an indication of the views of the selectors and the availability of other players suitable to be captain. I don't think that should be a measure to say he is better than GG or Tubbs. Compare %of innings converted into centuries and averages by all means. Captaincy can be measured by %tests won but is influenced by the quality players you have in the team so tricky to objectively say Biff is a good/mediocre/poor captain.
  16. Rides every Thursday 7pm from Irene mall
  17. Heck, sorry man, best wishes :-(
  18. Biff was so rattled by Mitch at Centurion he thinks it was played in Jhb
  19. The match will not be remembered for the excellent umpiring ... Forget about wrong referrals, if the umps were right we wouldn't need that in the first place
  20. Pity we struggled to review the right ones, or rather, it's a pity the umpires make mistakes that we didn't overturn with reviews
  21. Parnell groin and mighty # hurt finger with attempted catch
  22. Thanks guys ... Will go to vet and also get an opinion
  23. Interesting, never even thought there was a rule like that! Eng had Aus in similar trouble, but then Haddin and the tail would put on plenty runs, so need to wrap this up not long after lunch, especially at the rate they are scoring
  24. I have always had Rotweillers. I think a few pics are earlier in this thread as well. The oldest, Cleo(patra) has been with me since I bought my house in 2000. So around 14 years old. She has a little of a Labrador maybe in her, nose too long for Rotweiller etc. Point is she was fit as a fiddle until about 3 months ago. Started to struggle to walk. So now she sleeps inside while the other 3 are outside. She is on pills twice a day to help with sore bones/muscles (rumatiek in Afrikaans). Her spirit is still so willing, when we take the others for a walk she will hop-a-long to the gate and demand a chance as well. But after about 50m she starts tumbling so it is quick, just to give her a chance to smell the neighbour's plants and cats. Today when it started raining here in centurion she was sleeping on the lawn and didn't even try to come in. Enticed with treats but nothing worked. So half carried her inside (still bloody heavy!). She doesn't cry out as if in pain, but it is obvious she has worsened a lot in last few weeks. When/how do I decide she is struggling too much and take the ride to the vet? Two years ago I put another Rotweiller down, similar symptoms but one day he just couldn't get up anymore. Vet took x-rays and the conditions of the hips was very bad so recommended that I put him down. I don't want to punter down, but she is 14 and I also don't want her to suffer. In a way I'm chicken and hope the decision gets taken for me in some way :-(
  25. Spinners did well for Aus, what are the chances of QdK keeping while AB sends down a few slow overs? He can do a "Dean Hall" but I think Boucher also did both in the Windies
