  1. No, Beers and Keegan were 1, when initially announced on insta:
  2. Just get to the turn with the bunch… 🙈
  3. I did it myself, but I’m fairly comfortable with the innards of ratchet freehub. If you’re not, take it to the shop and ask them to clean and regrease the ratchets. Yes, was also a 12 speed. Mine would complain certain gears (felt like sand in the system), and changing gear would sometimes fix it.
  4. Have had that before, freehub needed a service. After properly cleaning and re-greasing my drivetrain is back to silky smooth in every gear.
  5. Group ride from greenpoint lighthouse, leaving there at 6:30am believe there’s some Hout Bay people heading there from HB around 5:30am. let me know if you want more details
  6. Some new rings for CTCT. They look black until the sunlight hits them. will match the road bike nicely 😎 IMG_0179.mov
  7. Where'd you get them?
  8. Updated CTCT seedings seem to be out on RaceTec
  9. 52mm (though on Roval C38s, which aren't the widest rims around, only 21mm internal). They should blow out wider on wider rims
  10. Merlin finally got stock of Thunderburt 2.1s, so the gravel bike is nice and chunky again also chucked some clik valves in my cart, to see what all the hype is about
  11. Seeding run is done, beta of 0.9, adjusted winning time of 2:23:41
  12. Didn't stop the 5 people on the front calling a left turn as we passed the Windmeul. Almost caused a bit of a problem... 🙈
  13. You see @Pure Savage, we did have some happy customers 🤣
  14. I have zero problem with that (the disqualifications)
  15. @Kom can you get your vibe coder to change the y-axis to hours and mins so I don't have to convert in my head? 🤣
  16. sad news. Wonder if Matt is gonna find a last minute replacement. How’s the legs looking @Sid the Sloth? 😉
  17. Fair, though I haven't seen many examples of the above (unless you do the shorter race at an event where the "marquee" event is longer)
  18. Any race will do, there is no "preferential treatment". With that said, more popular/"official" races generally attract better riders, meaning the "adjusted winning time" is often closer to the actual winning time, meaning there's less penalty there.
  19. Could be damp…
  20. If you’re right on the border and you talk nicely to the seeding people at registration they’ll often move you up a group for Tour de PPA. Then make sure to make it count, and hope for a fast bunch you can stick with.
  21. On the penalty, if you do a race every 6 months then you'll be fine (my current seeding race is One Tonner from Nov last year, with no penalty attached). So now I need a result from one of [99er, Tour de PPA, CTCT] and then in the second half of the year [Durbie Dash, OneTonner, DC].
  22. A bit of strava stalking tells me the person FinishTime has with a 2h16 time in D has a strava activity for 99er with elapsed time of 4h45
  23. I’ve made character groups with an index of 15-17 last year and the year prior
