  1. After a year of doing the whole “gravel bike with 2 wheelsets” vibe, finally got a road frame. Elves Falath Evo in Lake blue & Nebula 😎
  2. Having ridden both the Byway and Spez Pathfinder, which has a very similar tread profile, I found the Pathfinder to be far superior to the WTB. Fast on the tar, grippy in the corners, very few flats.
  3. Let the banter begin 😉

  5. It seems the "Search" portion of Ad filtering is only searching within Ad titles, is that new? I could have sworn it used to search within the ad text too. Eg: I type in "power" and only get back ads where "power" in the title, not in the text (where it may mention that the bike has a PM)

  7. No, we were the Pure Savage mixed team, were on the front pretty much from the gun. There was a bit of shuffling up to the base of Hels, and a little on the descent, but after that we just rotated 7 on the front the rest of the way (until I blew up quick spectacularly at 130k, and then they rotated 6 for the rest 😆)
  8. Ah, ok Also started in D, our team was on the front pretty much the whole way, but thought we were relatively well behaved (at least, I heard no complaints from the 20 or so "passengers" enjoying the free ride 😆)
  9. Which wave were you in?

  11. If you prefer to watch rather than read:
  12. Woah, did not see that coming https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2024/10/trainingpeaks-acquires-indievelo.html To answer the question that immediately springs to mind: So it's still free, for now...
  13. I have them on my gravel bike They're not light, but have taken a ton of abuse (including a chain drop that ripped a chunk of metal out of one of the crank arms) and still work well. No complaints.
  14. Matt finishes 2nd overall in the Lifetime Grand Prix with a sprint finish over Payson at Big Sugar yesterday 💪
  15. Pretty sure Rae sold the event to someone else a year or two ago (if memory serves)
  16. Get there early and park at Joostenberg (they're gonna hate cyclists by the end of that day...)
  17. I see we've moved again for this year: https://pedalpower.org.za/events/onetonner/ Route: https://za.mapometer.com/cycling/route_5552071.html So we hit Hels after a ~20km warmup
  18. Entered for my first one. Will be in a three man team, with me holding up the mountain bikers on my gravel bike
  19. If you're doing the 245, note the route changes in the email this morning. Updated gpx below. Seems we lose about 10km of total distance due to the Op die Berg detour, but gain a climb and extra gravel, so swings and roundabouts... Ceder245 (2024 Updated with Detours).gpx
  20. I mean, he did come 4th at the Giro, and 2nd at the Vuelta, so he's consistently punched above expectations this year.
  21. It would appear we’re in for a warm day on Saturday. After training through the wettest, coldest winter in recent memory I am anything but heat acclimated, so this could be interesting 🙈
  22. above uitkyk or below? Above was fine about a month ago.
  23. Stolen from one of the Strava activities that popped up in the flyby. Doesn't really do justice to the first of the 3 steep pitches in the 130k.
  24. Based on the flyby at least 2 people missed that turn
