  1. Anybody know how to get hold of 4u2nv? Tried sending him a PM, but to no avail.
  2. Where did you see that it was a 105 cassette? Could it be that you might be mis-reading the 10S for 105 on the cassette. No?
  3. If you don't fancy the Volcan, there are other cheaper options, but I'm not too sure about the track record of these frames. Check out this hardtail: Rapide 29er Frame
  4. Check this one out at the following link. Maybe other guys can commnet on whether it's a good buy or not. Kevin Evans won the Knysna MTB race on a Volcan if I remember correctly. Volcan 29er
  5. I heard that the headset setup on this bike is not UCI approved. Doesn't it matter for Kona? Awesome looking bike though. Check out this matt black version
  6. The UCI say it is
  7. @TNT1 I tend to disagree. Matthew Busche and Ben King are gonna be their future stars. I expect to see alot of these guys in the future.
  8. Horner should take up the reigns as team leader. Of course if the gamble to sit out Tour d'Suisse and the Dauphine doesn't pay off, and he has a bad day, the likes of Leipheimer who is also on form will just take over that responsibility. Kloden will have to go for top finishes in the TT's. He has come close and is one of only a few guys that can challenge Fabian Cancellara and Tony Martin in the TT. If Horner and Leipheimer don't go well then RSH will just disappear off the radar as has happenned before in other races. Only time will tell. Wonder what this team's average age is compared to the other teams
  9. Splat's got it right. Roadworks still in progress so Stop-Go's as per previous post. Might even still be one after Humansdorp as well, as they're resurfacing towards Jeffs. Might not miss all of them but one's not too bad. Maybe you're lucky and time it just perfectly. Have a safe trip dude.
  10. Webber was a worried man after Q2 not making it into Q1. Redeemed himself though yesterday. Still riding under immense pressure though and an exceptionally talented Vettel as a team mate doesn't help either. Hamilton still has it on the day. Makes for exciting future races.
  11. I have also dealt with Glen before here from PE just before SA's. The item I wanted didn't justify the additional postage costs, so he tried to get one of the riders to bring it along to PE for me. Unfortunately that didn't work out but he still made a plan for me to get the item down to PE. Will definitely buy from them again. Just need to save now B)
  12. The UCI will open an investigation into whether Frank Schleck broke competition rules by wearing a drink pack on his chest which might have given the Luxembourg rider an aerodynamic advantage during his victory at the Criterium International last month. Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport first reported on the case and said the bag can give an aerodynamic advantage of two seconds per kilometre in a time trial. What a bunch of whingers! Full article : My link
  13. Matt Goss made history today. Becoming the 1st Australian to win the Milan San Remo over 298km's. All this aboard the all new Specialised Venge. We're gonna see and hear a lot more about Matt Goss in the future as well as this bike. What dreams are made of. First ride; First win. Impressive. Imagine what Cav's gonna do with this bike once he's back on form. They're gonna be unbeatable.
  14. I have always found that to be a challenge at 6h00 in the morning. Chops riding in the group, doing something stupid, and when asked to refrain from doing so they immediately go on the defensive, swearing and performing... Not always in the mood for early morning rants from idiots. It's definitely silly season just before the Argus. It's evident in my group ride as well with guys riding with no lights, riding on the wrong side of the white line etc. Hope the Argus can just come and go now so that things can return to the; already dangerous normal we are used to. Tension is probably getting to me 'cause I'm hoping for better weather this year
  15. @CAAD4 is correct. You can do what you want, but it just looks kark. So when the front tyre is up for replacement, buy another Gatorskin and replace the front tyre with your current back tyre and put the new Gatorskin at the back. You might just want to make sure that your tyre pressures are also correct. We all go through bad puncture periods, maybe your cycle of puncture free cycling has just started.
  16. and I'm a wanna B'er
  17. Has this weight matter been sorted out already? Am really keen to see if this build made it to be under 6kg as @Ha Ha Kieran claims. @desmondalie clearly doesn't think so. Proofs in the pudding; or should we say on the scale Stealthy looking bike. I really like
  18. @beebee I like the way you captured the fight for the line between Gene & Rabie. Can clearly see that they were the 2 strongest finishers on the day. Unfortunately for the SA teams, Gene just had a little more left in reserve. The SA stage win will come; I'm pretty sure of that. Tomorrows Stage 4 will be decisive.
  19. Nice pics @Wisecrack. Couldn't get to the finish line today to see the action for myself. Got my timing all wrong - had no idea they'd get to the finish that quickly. At least you represented. I like your "It's all fun and games untill the wind turns against you...." Even Kevin Evans agrees with you. He tweeted "Last 50km, open hurtbox, climb in, close lid" As for the bling; one day when I grow up ....... and too old to do the bike justice. Such is life.
  20. I'm following @Cycle Nation on twitter and there is a break of about 2mins consisting of Brown (MTN), vZyl (TOC) & Kiendys (CCC). Lots of punctures and mechanicals as the guys are being forced into the gutter. Okes going straight into a headwind near Addo Elephant National Park with temp in region of 31degrees. Best you follow either @Cycle Nation or @Team Bonitas as they are both updating regularly.
  21. @SwissVan you can follow either @Team Bonitas or @Cycle Nation
  22. Some pics taken at the start this morning. Lots of tense faces; and as you can see, I'm not talking about the cyclists. Even Phil Ligget looked a bit apprehensive today. Here's to hoping all goes well. Plse excuse the poor resolution but as you know file size is quite limited on The Hub
  23. The apostrophe is meant to replace the left out letter. Hence you are = you're. Here endeth the lesson.
  24. Barry Austin speaks to Cyclenation.co.za after Day 3. You make up your own mind. Cyclenation.co.za
  25. Nice pictures. If only they could tell the story of exactly how hard it was out there today. Unlike previous days, today was a well organised event and it just goes to show that it can be done properly if there is will to do it. PE fans supported well, overcoming rain as well as the heat to day to cheer on the guys today. All in all it was a good day for the SA Cycling. We sure needed it.
