  1. I wonder how long these would last in SA These Awesome Public Bike Repair Stations Let You Fix Your Bike for Free Think is a great idea to install them along the routes in our various bike parks (MTN, Rietvlei, Teak etc)? :-)
  2. Think its been asked in another thread, but here goes: Is there any way of showing the "Latest Forum Posts" widget on the left when browsing the new classifieds section? Awesome revamp so far, :-)
  3. I reckon it’s an awesome idea, I've had photos from my iPhone 4 printed and both myself and my wife were very surprised by the quality of most of the shots, of course in a compact / non dedicated device you do not have all the options you do on a dedicated device, there are some very good 3rd party applications that do allow you to adjust for various lighting conditions etc. Also, Let’s face it, for those of us sitting behind a desk during the day, seeing live photos uploaded even scaled down to 800x600 would be awesome, it’s not like we will be printing them in A0 to display publicly. Now, if only i could get down to CPT I’d sign up for the adventure for sure.
  4. +1 agreed.
  5. Anyone else notice that it appears to have no FD but has at least 2 chainrings up front... VoooDooo?
  6. Option A. slightly more aggressive on the front with minimal loss in rolling resistance. Kinda depends on the terrain you ride, if you are riding around loose leaves, exposed roots etc then A for sure, if mostly dry single track the B would be perfect.
  7. My 2c, you should really not risk it, rather package it up and send it my way,
  8. @Capricorn, lol, that is so true, take that one step further and try putting together a RC heli and trying to hide all those wires in a place where everything is totally exposed, drives me insane, :-)
  9. Getting the popcorn ready...
  10. We need wireless brakes...
  11. One word, Stunning!!!!
  12. Hey, when did that happen, no longer called Mount Everest, now known as "Eagle Mountain".
  13. St Peters on a Tuesday evening was always excellent fun, :-) Those shoes hurt even back then, dont even want to think what a few hours on Everst would feel like now.
  14. It is, havent been there for years but it was sold just after we stopped climbing and renovated quite nicely, would love to go back and dust off the shoes, :-) http://www.wonderwall.co.za/default.aspx
  15. ahhh, Mnt Everest, 6 pitches of absolute bliss, :-), one of the best experiences I had, that and Roc Rally.
  16. Us climbers never did have a good forum like this to hang out, perhaps its cause we were always chasing the next route, :-). I would love to know what the storage life is on climbing equipment, all my kit (ropes, Cams, nuts, QDs, etc) was all cleaned, dried and stored in a dark "box", probably about 3-4 years now.
  17. Any Alberton South riders here also Climbers? May be some areas where we could ride to, do some climbing exercise and then ride back, would also be good exercise carrying some additional weight in the form of ropes, QDs etc, :-)
  18. Was always one of my favorite sports, still have all my gear but dont get to use it because of things like this, seriously a sad time when we have some of the best climbing spots but are not able to take advantage of them. Does not matter if you go to Boven, Melville,Harties, Drakensburg, everywhere is experiencing these same issues.
  19. "Titanium Necklace X30 - Fireball 103MPH" - If it will help me reach that I'm all for it, reckon i'll place an order right now, whos in? NOT. :-)
  20. +1 - been using it for a few months, works brilliantly
  21. Any one of the Admins one the hub should be able to see which IP address both XC and Railed logged on with, then with that info it would be easy enough to track him down further (If its 3G you would need legal assistance to get the mobile ops to co-operate)
  22. Interesting, company was selling "Oxygenated water" http://www.globalro3.co.za/index_files/Page1064.htm also sounds a bit fishy.
  23. If you got a response from him on "manager@globalro3.co.za" then there is a very good chance of contacting the contact listed in the whois, either directly or through the police: admin : Bonthuys Tracy title : DNS Administrator company : Global Ro3 Liquids (PTY) Ltd postaladdr : Postnet 9, Private Bag X5516, Scottburgh, Kwa-zulu Natal, ZA, 4180 phone : 0313045367 Sounds like a legit business and they would know who has access to that e-mail address etc.
  24. Damm, i wonder if the oke on Rivonia road is still there and if he is dishing out refunds, ;-)
