  1. Thanks Vinny. Do I remove the sides of the sealed bearings and fill the inside with grease or are they sealed and that's that?
  2. Fulcrum hubs on the MTB. They have sealed bearings. DT Swiss hubs on the road bike. Haven't got them open yet to take a look.
  3. I'd like to service my own hubs. How often do they require service? Do you use standard grease, the kinds stuff you'd use on your car, or the super duper fancy stuff from the bike shop?

  6. More likely for the wheelbarrows than the bicycles.
  7. Yeah. Puts me off riding the mass. I'll join when the stop is at the end of the ride.
  8. Is there still a pizza/beer stop halfway through the ride?

  10. Go with the 26.er without question. Far better specs. Just ensure it has been ridden little, and well maintained. Can get expensive to replace cassettes, chain etc
  11. Yes.
  12. Wicked knife. I've used mine to prune trees and cut a chicken into pieces. Not on the same day. http://www.nepalpoint.com/nepal-army-kukri-600-8164.jpg

  17. Hmmmm ... thanks Sean
  18. I have one of those. They went for R18k to R20k new. Great bike with good components. I upgraded the wheels after a year. If it has had light use offer the oke R10k cash. 26ers are flooding the second hand market. No need to over pay. Edit: More info and spec over here https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/74628-ghost-rt-actinum-and-lector-bikes-for-sale/page__gopid__1132300#entry1132300
  19. Hey hubbers. I have 2 bikes with XT rear derailleurs. One bike has XT shifters and the movements between gears (rear) are clean, sharp, quick and crisp. The other bike has SLX shifters and the shifting is nowhere near as crisp. Is it the shifters? Could it be the chain, the cluster or something else. Note that both bikes have been professionally serviced recently and this issue persists.
  20. Rear camera for your bike. http://www.geekiegadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/cerevellum_bike.jpg http://www.geekiegadgets.com/tag/gizmos-and-gadgets/
