  1. Yip i'd say 3000kms is about right. Mine has done 1500kms and is starting to show a little stretch. I'm guessing another 1500kms and it'll be time to replace.
  2. For the hubber who has everything. http://www.hammacher.com/Product/82465http://digital.hammacher.com/Items/82465/82465_1000x1000.jpg
  3. I played around with this a little some years ago using a Nikon D200. It has a feature that allows you to set how often the shutter is fired and for how many frames. Did a few shoots of several hundred frames over a couple of hours. Put them together with some freeware software that worked well. Can't remebr the name of the software. You are limited by the size of the CF card and battery life. Battery life is the major hurdle with this method. There is a power supply available for the D200 to get around this. Google will help you here. A second hand D200 will cost next to nothing so may be an option. There are probably newer DSLR's with this feature too. Also google " intervalometer " to learn more. Hope this helps.

  5. MuddyMike will you paint the frame yourself and if so what paint do you use?
  6. Yip. I use one cs200 on three bikes. Bought the extra sensors from my LBS. if I remember correctly the speed sensor comes in its own and the cadence sensor comes with the mount for the cs200. Note that the cs200 can be setup to record the settings of two bikes.

  23. Shimano M087. 2 years and 6,000kms on and they are as good as new. Stiff and comfortable. You must try on a few brands and see what fits you well before you buy. http://www.cyclemadness.co.za/product_info.php?products_id=319
  24. Those look good too. Will do some homework. Thanks!
