  1. I ride with FSA bars and stem. Very nice components and don't cost an arm and a leg
  2. When I was at Mailott Jaune Cyles last week I asked Merckx about it and it sounded like Harmony also sponsored the club. He said their are plan to get another sponsor but he wasn't too sure
  3. Why would it be illegal to ride in neutral kit ? I though you either had to ride in team/club kit or neutral kit as opposeed to pitching up with a Quickstep or Astana kit when you don't belong to them (I'd love to pitch up in last years Astana kit). I'm fully licensed and when I'm back to fitness I will probably be riding in the vets cat. Does this mean I must ride in my club kit or does it only apply to sponsored teams?
  4. Do we have a double poster here?
  5. At least you don't sit there watching the highlights shouting for your favourite team, just to see them finish last. It gives you a chance to shout for the winning team

  7. Thanks Swissvan. Maybe somebody here on the HUB knows a podiatrist with cycling experience?
  8. In 2006 I bought a set of Specialised Carbon shoes. Since then I have been battling with cramps in the toes on my left foot and after yesterday's ride the arch on my right foot just behind the ball is sore. Can a normal orthopeadic physician help sort out this problem or do I have to go to a sport science centre? I would prefer an orthopeadic physician seeing as I will be able to claim back on the medical aid. Any constructive advice would be welcome. Thanks SD

  14. A friend was given a set of wheels with a Shimano cassette on and he has Campy on his bike, and wants to know if it possible to put a Campy body on a hub that has a Shimano body on, or are hubs specifically designed for Shimano/Campy bodies?
  15. Ok. I'm going to hijack my own thread here. Just got my new Easton EA90 Aero's today and just finished putting them on my bike....Damn they look wicked!!!! I just love the nice quiet sound of the rear hub and the bearings are super smooth. Seeing as I don't have furniture in my house at the moment I will have to go to Russells tomorrow to put my bike on one of their couches for the pic. Will post a pic tomorrow. Hijack off
  16. That means more food for me!
  17. I am getting my new wheels today and was thinking of getting a new set of rubber for them, But at the present price I think I'm just going to put my old tyres on them.
  18. I think it's the importes who are losing revenue due their shipments being stuck in customs. So they use the R/D exchange rate as an excuse to bump up their profits and the man on the street believes everything they are told and accept it as par for the course.
  19. You want what? Where is the pic? ......Sorry, my internet explorer is a bit slow. It seems like I must open a post twice before the pics are downloaded Anyway that bike looks pretty wicked.Speed Devil2008-08-15 05:06:45
  20. Mini Hijack What is it with most tyres these days that a person battles to get the tyre on or off the rim. I took my Vredensteins off last nite to weigh my wheels and I almost broke my tubby sticks trying to get the motherf**kers off. I needed 3 sticks to get them off and back on Don't they make rims or tyres to a standard anymore? Hijack off
  21. I agree. I find that the cheap tyres last just as long as the expensive ones. And seeing as I spend more time training than racing the odds go way up to get punctures and damage your tyres from glass, potholes etc. So why buy expensive tyres for traing then? I get get about 4000km on a set of kendas and they only cost about R125
  22. You forgot to put the time next to the date WW will pitch 2 hours after we got back!
