Well I've been off the bike for a year so I'm outa touch with cycling events at the moment. I'm not yet completely tuned into dates and events. Hell, I can't even remember when last I rode, never mind when my next ride is!
What is the hype about KCNC and Alligator I-link cables? Are they lightweight components or just nice eye candy on a bike? If they are lightweight components how much lighter are they than say Dura Ace or Record components? Would it be worth the upgrade from a weight point of view? Are Chris King hubs also a lightweight component or is it just a quality product. Any weight advantage?
BMC when I bought my Polar I was told that full carbon frames tend to block the signal from the sensor to the wrist unit. So the sensor should be mounted as close as possible, and where possible with least obstruction between the sensor and wrist unit.
Yes it does have a battery and you can't charge. If it's flat you have to replace it. I had a similar problem with my speed sensor on my olar S725 just after I bought it. I took it to Polar and it turned out to be a faulty sensor and wasn't giving a strong-enough signal for the head unit to pick up. The little red light also didn't work properly. If it is still under warranty send it to Polar and they will repair/replace for free.

If you have air in the system the brake lever will feel very spongy and I doubt that you would be able to lock the brake if that was the case. It could be that you have dirt between the piston and body. Check to see if the piston is travelling straight in and out. It could be that you have some wear and the piston pushes skew when you apply the brake. Take the wheel out and remove the disk pad to get a better view of the piston. get someone to pull the brake while you look at the piston travelling in and out. Speed Devil2008-08-08 08:16:07

How about this. park the car at the top of a ramp, put the keys in the igniton and let everyone stand in a line at the bottom of the ramp. First one to the car gets it for the weekend.....Oh did i mention everyone must wear their cycling shoes when running up the ramp

When traing and racing is ok to use gels and energy drinks from different manufacturers or should a person only use products from one manufacturer at a time?
