  1. Lets hope KE can pull a move and make up some time..
  2. Ja i finish line is my kempton place i mentioned.. Very good prices on bikes and they seem like honest guys.. Arthur usually helps out a lot.. Tony Impey is alright, They dont seem too interested in you when you go there though.. Never had a service there..
  3. Well I live right near Greenstone and for services I have a guy in fourways and for parts and stuff I either go to finish line in kempton or cayjees or whatever.. depends who has the best price.. I refuse to step foot into johnsons cycles even though i could probably walk there.. He is such a rip off and a crook..
  4. So annoying.. A few more days though, who knows what could happen..
  5. +100000000000000000000000000.. Plus, I own a scott..
  6. Will check it out.. Does the Scott have an air shock??
  7. I thought as much.. This looks like a sweet deal... http://www.obike.co.za/Products/ProductsB.aspx
  8. Do you have to order online from that O-Bike place?? Never heard of it??
  9. Ja i checked that Trek 6000 at the sports basement.. All good except a spring loaded shock.. I have air - but how does spring compare?
  10. So I have a mate who is keen to buy a MTB, budget about 8000 (still a student). I think the most important things are reliability, Hydraulic Discs and I would think an Air Shock would be a great thing if its possible in the price range.. Hard tail 26".. I'm content with my bikes so i haven't really been keeping an eye on the market.. Some help please guys...
  11. Alpine Heath - Drakensburg - About 60km mtb track made for cyclists.. not just random pathways found and used..
  12. Im going there as soon as i get a gap, wow it looks great.. I like the way u used the long exposure with the cars going past.. Took my shot off a building in JHB.. Had to pay R50 so that the guy would let me up there.. was so worth it tho..
  13. Dangle is that the mosque there in midrand? Do they light it up like that?? Here's my weekend snap. There is a lot of "noise" that i only saw when i got home.. Quite annoying.. Was a hazy night too.. But not a bad pic i guess.
  14. Let me play around tonight after I install it and then come back to you with some feedback.. I have a feeling google and youtube are going be my friend..
  15. So seems they might know the deal with the price difference so they cover themselves with those terms..
  16. I get you.. One for one i guess... If its in their regulations then I'll just have to deal with it.. I wont go making a scene..
  17. Haha.. Dont need a new bike or frame.. I just want a new helmet..
  18. Like most other threads on the hub, its turned into a "my opinion is better and more valid then yours"... I'll have my helmet and see what happens if it cracks.. For now i'll just hope it doesnt.
  19. So who's used Aperture for post photo editing?? Im busy downloading it now.. Looks pretty decent.. Maybe some tips and tricks would be cool??
  20. I took my visor off.. was getting in the way of my vision.. Totally useless with regards to sun protection too.. Maybe its the "look".. Im not sure there is much of a difference..
  21. Get yourself some tri shorts.. Its what they are designed for.. You want to be in kit that is comfortable for both disciplines.. So tri shorts - or a tri suit which is more expensive... Unless u want to cycle in running shorts with no padding??
  22. Dangle you have just blown my mind.. I really need to get out more often and find these spots... Im going out tonight to a spot in kensington by eastgate.. Apparently its the best view of the cityscape you can get... And if there's some clouds and the moon looks good u can get some sweet shots.. I'll post the outcome tomorrow hopefully..
  23. Dangle - what building is this???
  24. Yesterday I spent ages at the shop trying to get the prints right.. You need someone who knows what they're doing.. I had these pics for a presentation to a client so i wasnt going to settle for anything less then the best.. Took about 30 tries to get it right.. Didnt pay for the wrong ones.. Just saying that not every shop knows what they're doing when it comes to high quality prints... Made the presentations on my mac and the quality could not be matched on print..
  25. In another thread I was giving the specialized shop so much grief... But i will give it to them that they gave me the perfect saddle.. 155mm Phenom - bought for my mtb and then went back 2 weeks later to buy the exact same saddle for my road bike.. Best saddle I have ever had. Quite hard tho...
