  2. @ cadenceblur - If the running does not work out for you try training with some guys who play underwater hockey in your area! Training is in a pool with maks & fins. Great cardio as well as muscle workout without straining your knees and/or ankles.
  3. Combining wind and rock - what about playing Rock you like a Hurricane from The Scorpions!
  4. Chillin! Nokia C7
  5. My constant companion of 14 years - again with Nokia C7
  6. Taken with Nokia C7
  7. PLEASE SIR, MAY WE HAVE SOME MORE???????????
  8. Weeride, all the way. The set-up just makes more sense - child is better protected between your arms, they have a good view and bike control is not significantly compromised especially on a L or XL frame. Our baby wants te get into her's everytime she sees it in the garage. The attahced pic is from her first test ride in our complex - shortly after the lid was put on and even that was accepted without a fuss.
  9. Friday feeling...

  11. What year did you do the KAEM?
  12. Hubbers, just a heads up - we have our own equivalent to the MDS!! From guys who have done both they recon the KAEM (Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon) is actually thougher due to the temperatures (+40 deg C)! Check out the website http://www.extrememarathons.com/augrabies/New%20index.htm
  13. Hi Hubbers I'm looking for a secondhand WeeRide child bike seat. Anybody out there whose child has outgrownt theirs? Thx
  14. Nino Have you decided on 'computer' style or 'watch' style? I have used Polar for a long time but is looking at Garmin to replace the ageing Polar. IMHO if you are favouring the watch style look at the Garmin Forerunner 410. The 410 is the new model, you might be able to pick-up the Forerunner 305 (previous model) for good price.
  15. "Never try this @home" The guys who took these pictures 'back in the day' suffered 3nd degree burns from the gastric juices of the dead croc.
  16. Thanks for the reply but it is the latter . Your trips sounds like it was the bomb though
  17. Good morning Hubbers Your opinions please - is there any evidence that fork mount bike carriers put excessive stress on the fork through prolonged use? Either if the carrier is mounted on your vehicle's roof or on top of a trailer? Thanks for your time!
  18. @ Grant from WeeRide Can you match the Take2 price for the WeeRide LTD Kangaroo Child Bike seat?
  19. Hi Hubbers, came a cross this thread as I'm investigating the same products for my daughter. There seems to be a local distributor for the iBert safe-T-seat, here is the contact info: Contact us for prices and a list of stores that stock the iBert safe-T-seat. Contact Nolene Goosen on 084 207 4402 e-mail iBertsouthafrica@telkomsa.net or find us on http://www.ibertsouthafrica.co.za/images_template1/facebook2.png
  20. You are right but what they do is swipe your card twice, take the next guy's cash and bobs-your-aunty.
  21. Hubbers, The e-mail could be true or not, there is definitely scope in the system for this kind of fraud. The other alternative is that the e-mail is another one of the e-mail address harvesting mails, just like the petition against the closure of the SAPS Child Protection Unit, the little girl with leukemia that AOL, Microsoft etc will sponsor - to name but a few the list is endless. They target issues close to one's heart or wallet and bank on the fact that most people forward e-mails without removing all the cc'd e-mail addresses. Check the e-mail address for sending the petition onto if you are the 100th etc person next time you receive one of those - it does not work. On the matter of toll booths - watch out for the N4 east toll stations from Pretoria! Have stopped using a card altogether on any of them, just cash. Have had several problems with them w.r.t. double payments AND they only bank transactions anything between 7-10 days which means there is a delay on it coming of your account.
  22. Design 4, just make the collar blue with white lettering
  23. Thank you to the Master and the Masterful Students for your input! I'll be back.......... for more lessons soon I'm sure
  24. Hubbers some help please! As a newbie to The Hub and Mtb'ing some info will be appreciated: - Presta valves or Schrader valves - is the rim significantly weakened by drilling a presta valve hole to accommodate a schrader valve? - handle bar ends or not? - tyres that have wide as possible riding conditions i.e. mud, rocks, etc. and that is suitable for ghetto set-up tubeless system Thanks
