  1. I heard there was a compulsory 15 minute stop somewhere...
  2. I'll be there for the weekend with the whole family. Trail run on Saturday and MTB on Sunday.
  3. Dont leave your tyres in the sun!
  4. The Dirtopia timing tags are basically manual timing. Everyone has to stop and tap the sensor thingy with the timing tag attached to your wrist... Start and finish.
  5. I can't seem to get this to work. How do you watch a specific channel live?
  6. Please go and discuss your conspiracies elsewhere !!!
  7. Where will you guys be watching the TdF? I'm thinking of getting a decoder for the month and put it in our office. Most days are on SS6 from 14:00 to 18:00, so maybe I'll watch from 16:00 to 18:00 each day...
  8. Road Tour from Cape Town to George. http://www.bike-nz.com/ssp_director_common/albums/album-83/cache/North-Island-Road-Cycling-11.jpg_890_380_1_80_1_52_82.jpg So, I am planning an informal, semi-supported "Road Tour" from Cape Town to George along the R60 and R62. The format will look something like this: Date: 1st week of January 2013 T.B.C. Day 1: Table View to Ceres +/- 140km. Day 2: Ceres to Monagu +/- 125km. Day 3: Montagu to Ladismith +/- 140km. Day 4: Ladismith to George +/- 155km. Day 5: Drive back to Cape Town This will be a completely social ride and not an official event. The main aim of the ride is to have fun, so we will be stopping to take photo's, jumping in the rivers (in the middle of summer) and enjoying a very interesting stretch of South African roads. There is no entry fee and you will have to pay for and organize everything yourself. I can definately help with bookings and organizing transport etc. I'm guessing it will will cost you about R2000 - R2500 p/p for the 5 days all inclusive. We are planning on staying in B&Bs for 3 nights along the way. I have accommodation in George for quite a few people in Gorge. We will drive back to Cape Town on the last day. I want to have at least 1 car for every 3 riders following us the whole way, which will be used as back-up vehicles and transport back to CT. So invite your spouse to travel with us. The route is mostly flat. I would like to ride at a decent pace, but we will all be riding together. We already have a few guys, but the more the better. Let me know if you are keen. We can start a mailing list and organize some training rides. (We also need a name for the tour ) Peace out!
  9. I'll be riding from Cape Town to George in December, if anyone wants to join me. Nothing official, but will have someone following in a vehicle and staying in B&Bs... +/- 150km a day x 3.
  10. Please tell me that they're NOT using those amarider timing tag things...
  11. Flip, I love that place. MTB heaven! It beats Cape Town hands down!
  12. Go to Coimbra Cycles and chat to the guys there. They know every one who rides in George.
  13. I can do about 305W for 10 minutes (up Suikerbossie)
  14. It's one of the best races in the SWD area. Check out the facebook page with pics of the route: http://www.facebook....03051686&type=3 http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.331048136951534.76736.136713303051686&type=3
  15. Epic fail for the 60km route. I rate there were about 100 riders who lost 25 minutes, because they got lost. Did anyone find out what went wrong? But overall - really nice race. Goodie bag was brilliant.
  16. Anyone want a lift? I've got space for one more. R100.
  17. ok, I have a lift going for 1 more person...
  18. Are there any lifts going from Cape Town...?
  19. I'll join if you make it 5 to 7 am...
  20. Anyone know of a cool camp site nearby?

  22. Does anyone know anything about this race in the Hex River Valley, 26th May 2012. I would love to do it.
  23. Wow, that was a tool statement... I decided to ride with it some more, and it's been fine so far. Even did the argus with it. As Tankman said, it's only the outer rubber layer that's gone, which is very thin anyway and provides NO structural support or puncture resistance. Just a bit of super glue to protect the internal threaded layers seems to help. I'll let you guys know how it's going after another 1000kms.
  24. I missed my first one by 3 minutes...
  25. I would obviously love to replace it, but it's easier said than done...
