  1. As winter closes in on our days from both ends, the only time left to ride is in the afternoons after work. Wednesday afternoons (or Mondays?) 16:15 outside Revolution cycles in town MTB up the mountain +/- 1.5 hours Route to include Blockhouse TT and The Moubtain Goat Hard ride / strong riders only. Any interest?

    Trucape MTB 50km

I'll be there. Anyone want a lift?
  4. Timed By: Great Time Seeding and Batching: No Fully ROAG Administered Event: No How does Great Time work? No seeding starts?
  5. And the tokai mast challenge...
  6. What the hell just happened? You can tell that a farmer set that route. It's like he attached a GPS to a cow, let it roam around for a day and then said "that's our route". It's not that it wasn't well marked, but you can mark a route like that as well as you want, but people will still definitely get lost. I rate the search and rescue teams will be out late tonight. That being said, I still enjoyed it for some reason. Something different. Oh, and THORNS!
  7. The section along the train track with the shear drop right next to you is also quite exciting!
  8. Any teams looking for an extra rider?
  9. Can someone confirm start times for the 63km?
  10. So who's entering this series? I want to know if there is any place for a semi pro rider in amongst all the pros... I heard that quite a few pro teams and riders will be there.
  11. Don't get too attached to your bike's suspension or parts. They take quite a hammering when learning to jump and hop. Most bikes aren't really made for that.
  12. Yip, recovery training is the only real way to be able to recover between multi-day stage events.
  13. Any lifts being offered? All my passengers bailed.
  14. I've still got space for one more in the car. R100 get's you in. (Just realized it's 300km there and back)
  15. The roadies have to cycle on the highways, which are only about 5km long into and out of town. Get a mountain bike. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of gravel road.
  16. So how was this event? Looked quite small. Still not sure how this fits in to the bigger picture of MTB in the Western Cape / Western Province...
  17. You can't ask for a better weather forecast http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=91&sty=m_menu
  18. It's a pity that their bikes are so dam brilliant!!!
  19. Is anyone going to do this one this Saturday? http://www.breedemtb.co.za/ I wouldn't mind sharing a lift with someone. I stay in Table View and have enough space for 2 more people...
  20. I also don't think it's the trail's fault. On a side note, in my opinion, there are 2 sections of hoogekraal that are MUCH more difficult than the majority of the route, which could catch some people off guard. The pump section and the bridge after it (surprisingly tricky) the widow maker (noobs shouldn't ride this section often anyway) Just saying...
  21. Don't they offer specials or vouchers or something like that as well?
