That event was awesome! by far the best event I have been to (not that is saying much) . you forgot we each go free pair of glider sunglasses. There were even prizes for teams that were last to finish. Very well organized.

Like I am sure I have said I don't actually own a Mac but I use Linux and the "wine" software is supposed to work pretty the same on mac as on Linux. But I will try help where I can.

I am not sure if this will work on Mac but it works perfectly on Linux. Use wine http://www.winehq.org/ I found that the weblink works perfectly but the websync didn't at least for me. Sunday I did my first +40km (it was 75km) ride EVER and it was the ride for sight race leaving from just around the corner from peddlers. I said to my self if I get a puncher there is no way on earth I am changing it and I will wait for the sweepers So sadly less then 2km into the race hadn't even gotten to OuKaap se weg and i get a flat not even a puncher but the valve on my tube just decided to die! Yes I as the moron changing their tier on the left hand side of the road, although most of you would have missed me because I assume you were in a group before "U" About half way through changing my tires the Olymic van stopped next to me and helped me the rest of the way(with a decent pump at least). So thanks guys absolutely great service if I was in that area I would defiantly come to your guys shop to give you some support! Oddly enough the sweeper van drove past me about 6 or 7km from the finish and almost forced me to get in.. My reply was are you insane I got this far I am damnwell finishing! PS Although technically I did the full distance, I missed the cut off time so didn't get an official time either way I am happy because longest ride ever.

It works for me. Also I think their reasoning for doing this was that people have microphones and this might have been before USB became popular standard and since it worked they continued to use it. I also think USB connection might have broken the water resistant factor because it would need a whole to plug it in. Also CS400 does not use Sonic link so giving instructions for that is pointless. Yes it is the built in mic you do not need to buy any thing extra.

Yip uses sonic link! Just tested and used it today 1) Download WebLINK (NOT websync) 2) Install it and run it. 3) Will ask for your model and username/password enter those details 4) You will then be given the option to upload your data... 5) On your CS200 device while in time mode press the right button until it shows Send Files Make sure your Mic on your PC is working first. Hope this helps.

Well I got my self an early Christmas present reading around people claim it works well (although via sound). OP busy playing with it will hopefully be able to help out when I work things out.

According to their docs it uses SonicLink? "CS200: In Time mode, press the Right button until CONNECT is displayed. Press the Middle button and select Receive DATA. Place the cycling computer less than 10 cm/ 4" from the loudspeaker and do not move it during the data transfer." Maybe there were different versions of the CS200? Good to know the SonicLink works well because I was rather scared to purchase it I think I am going to go the CS200 route because it is like much much cheaper and if I choose to upgrade later on i can.

Hi I went to look at this model today and found it uses some sort of audio upload via the PC's microphone. I work with computers but that just seems dodgy to me. I was going to buy this exact model but decided I should rather investigate how well the audio upload thing work. I guess you answered the question for me. +1 on the cleats thing. I think I got them to early I am kinda unfit and often when cycling up a hill I feel like I need to just put a foot down and don't have enough time/momentum to take them out so I fall over Either way par for the course, fitness will come! Has any one ever used these guys? Are they decent always bit nervous when ordering from overseas about stuff actually making it to my door They seem to be pretty cheap? Unless there are local distributors that actually have websites I didn't look at?

On the topic of Price? Are they decent deals I think component wise/specs they are fine for what I need. Also are there any decent SA biking websites with actual prices other then www.obike.co.za ? The fact they aren't carbon isn't going to make much of a difference IMHO because I take more weight in water then that. Shameless bump

The bike seems decent on paper. as for price range? Am I being ripped off? Is there a decent place to compare prices of bikes to make sure you are getting a decent deal?

Looking for a Road bike to get me started on and possibly keep for a while. (I would rather not choose to resell stuff in 6months because I want to upgrade). I have been cycling a basic MTB with front suspension, but enjoy the road races vibe stuff so think it is time to invest in a road bike. 1) Do I go semi average 1st hand or better 2nd hand bike with no assurance or any form of warranties or service plans or any thing? 2) I know it goes Sora, Tiagra, 105...( rest out of my price range) how much difference would a newbie like me even notice? How do they differ quality, performance, what is actually different? 3) Size/Frame I assume are pure comfort level thing so I will have to see which one suites me best Budget is kinda flexible based on what I am going to get and how long stuff would last me with a high/top limit of about 10k I have looked around on these forums as well as other places and it seems that for the price range I am looking at I either get really old bikes with "amazing specs" or new bikes with average specs. In my dabbling I found. Seem to think Silver Backs are decent value but what do I know? 1) Silver Back RS1 2011 +- R9000 2) Silver Back RS2 2011 +- R7000 Are any of these two value for money or just a rip off? If they are a rip off could some one suggest where I can get a better deal and for what (in Cape Town) if that makes any difference. Thanks
