  1. When are they gonna fix that goddamn cable? Can still not play WoT to the NA server. I opened an account on the EU server just to play a bit, but now have to start all over from tier one. Not nice. EDIT: OK, just checked mybroadband. Vessel underway and ETA is 4 April.
  2. Yup, that is basically what I was asking.
  3. Just asking a question. I am too poor to sponser anybody for Cape Epic, nevermind myself.
  4. What about riders that were sponsored? Can the sponsors lay a claim for a refund from the riders?
  5. Start playing onliine games. Become the Nerd you always wanted to be.
  6. You sir, need a few appointments with Mr. Jonkers. Start with Never Ending Story, and work you way up to the big boys, like the Plumber. Make sure you have medical ensurance before attempting the Plumber.
  7. Sadly I am only fat and arrogant, and yes, no, e-bike. Only powered 2 wheeler I have has 1301 cc of pure orange adrenaline. Lack of funds due to orange beast.
  8. So our young mutt has developed a liking to cycling socks. We keep missing the socks, only to find them as droppings in our back yard.
  9. I think the grading on Jonkers is about right. The blue trails on Jonkers compare about to the red trails on Helderberg.
  10. Yep, don't trust that photo. If my son says it was super skethcy, then you can bet that the average MTBer would feel safer walking that section. My son is quite decent on technical sections, and he rode it, and I am not too shabby but he said 'Pa sou daai stuk geloop het'.
  11. Also was not impressed. 2 she whales on e-bikes came through the field on a climb and was yelling 'give way, e-bikes coming through...'
  12. Nice pics. You came in just in front of my boy. This was his first 60, and he is not as fit as he used to be at school, but working on it this year. He took a break last year. Some of the riders I saw that came in from the 60 looked proper broken.
  13. My son said about 1350m. Which he was happy about since lots of it was at the end, because the heat, dust and rocks did not make it easy. But he said route wise it was one of the best he has done to date.
  14. It was hot. As we rode back we saw a few dejected riders bailing on the long route.
  15. You can give my son a draft on the flats. He is a bit unfit after doing stuffall in his first year after school. He will be in the older Pure Savage kit.
  16. Me and the wife are doing the 30, while my son will be doing the 60. I am still recovering from my long injury vacation last year, and the wife says 1900m of climbing is about 500m too much over that distance for her legs at this stage.
  17. The 30km will be very easy compared to the 60km monster. Rode those trails before and the 30km will easily be doable by an average MTBer in under 2 hours.
  18. Impossible to play any online games at the moment with the cable problem off the coast of Africa. Ping is bad and I get lots of other issues.
  19. First Stellies tour in many years I was not gonna do. So glad I dodged a R1200 wallet pain.
  20. And the wind is back.
  21. As luck would have it, wind has dropped radically here in Strand.
  22. Here in the Helderberg area the wind is nuts. My wife planned to do a nice 60km on her MTB doing both Helderberg and the Wannebee Winefarm routes. She came back early after only doing Helderberg with her tail between her legs. Wind blew her over twice on the Heartbreak Hill climb. I did not go, busy rebuilding an Audi 1.8T engine.
  23. Latest forecast are for the wind to be stronger tomorrow, with stronger gusts.
  24. I tend to disagree with you. That stretch from Wellington back to Stellies against this wind, with traffic on the road, will be very sketchy.
