  1. I think the shop sold him a MOBO from old stock and that the BIOS will need to be updated to support Ryzen 5000 CPUs. https://edgeup.asus.com/2020/guide-update-your-asus-motherboards-bios-for-amd-ryzen-5000-series-processors/ Also make sure that when you set the memory speed in BIOS, that you start of lowish and ramp it up higher. AMD has had issues with RAM compatibility in the past. I am not convinced that they have sorted that out entirely with the latest Zen 3 processors.
  2. Just ask the PC shop to help you with one of their 3300 or 3600 CPUs to flash the BIOS. It's the least they can do. They should have a test bench at the shop. If they do not they are clueless and you should not shop there again in future.
  3. Also, after that, try and update the BIOS to the latest.
  4. What he said.
  5. In about 2 weeks I should have a HOTAS and rudder pedals setup from these people in my posession: https://virpil-controls.eu/ My Christmas gift to myself.
  6. Tsk! I prefer redheads anyways.
  7. Pity about Megan Fox. I think there were others that would have fitted that role better. But hey. I was scrarred for life after her performance, or rather, lack thereof in the Transformer movies. Rest of movie looks bad ass. Like the inclusion of John Malkovich.
  8. The imagery and depth thereof in this video is just staggering. And before you think you know what it is, watch this video explaining it:
  9. Yes. Maybe engine mounting maintenance or somethhing like that?
  10. I am not ordinarily a heavy metal / heavy rock fan, but this video is damn nice.
  11. Elements of Kraftwerk in this video of theirs.
  12. That happened with my dad's old Mamiya. Poor camera was never the same after that.
  13. Looking at the fast rate of decent, I highly suspect structural failure. My guess would be one of the wings. Engine failure alone would not cause such a fast rate of decent. Also, I see that the altitude started leveling out, so to me I would not think it would be a stall induced spin. What do you experts think? I am but a noob.
  14. Saw it last night. Was not impressed at all. The first one was way much better. This is also one of the reasons I do not watch any Marvel or super hero stuff anymore, but I was dragged along by the wife and kids, well 2 of the kids. The middle one feels the same way I do about it. CG is used to fill up the many holes in the plot.
  15. If I had an indoor trainer setup like that I would not mind a lockdown.
  16. Hope they have better luck from now on. They were well on their way towards getting established until half their place burnt down in the bad fires a few years ago (2 or 3 years ago, can't remember, Slowbe would know for sure). Good luck, and we will see you soon.
  17. As they all said. Hemel and Aarde. There are some nice parts and some tough parts.
  18. I could never see what others saw in the Borat movies. To me them all were just utter garbage.
  19. Many parents just don't care, or want to bug the kids in fear of being called uncool when they prevent their kids from playing these games.
  20. What you probably also do not know from this video, is that Elite has an accurate as possible model of our galaxy to play in, with the stars accurately modelled and named, and some of the exoplanets that we know of also modelled. The planets to further stars are procedurally generated based on the star class. There are players that have travelled to Beagle Point, Bernard's Loop, the Whitch Head Nebula etc. There are another group that formed a colony 20kLy from Earth, which is not surprisingly called Colonia. Many of the starports are named after science pioneers and other contributors to science and cosmology. Not surprisingly, the Thargoids are also still in the game, but just more dangerous.
  21. Or publishers should think twice about the content they are creating. No ways that the current ratings are adhered to. I can guarantee you many gamers under 13 are playing Cyberpunk 2077.
  22. Siberian Huskey. Yes, you are going to have an interesting time once the blue yonder beckons with an open gate! BTW, Siberian Huskeys and GSDs make very good friends.
  23. I always keep my OS and data on separate drives for this very reason. Gives me the option for a fresh install without having to move the data before doing that.
  24. Not all of it according to news articles that surfaced this week. https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2020-11-25-taxing-times-adobe-flashs-demise-gives-sa-revenue-service-a-big-efiling-headache/
