Any "top end" cyclist will surely know that he cannot buy a "top end" Raleigh at Pick and Pay or Makro. It is only the suurtiete who use that in their postings to try and make Raleigh look bad. They rarely succeed. not trying to make raleigh look bad at all....have great respect for them in fact....all I am saying is that if you were able to buy a Mercedes from any general dealer it would not have had the same value that it has...purely an idea of why some people don't like raleigh...may or may not be true.

racechick....I have a friend that rides a scott women specific bike...full carbon and an amazing bike....very good value for money and she says more comfy.

problem with raleigh is that you can get it anywhere....even p'np......or you used to be able to. I think that they should maybe rebrand their top end bikes and keep the cheapies seperate. I have had two but must say that my Scott is still best.

if you have the cash try and get some rudy project with photocromic lenses. the work extremely well...just a little pricey but worth every cent

don't write off Intercape. They can take your goods down in their trailers that they take with for luggage. They don't charge much either and as far as I know you can insure the package as well.

SCOTT RULESSSSS.....you can't go wrong. Excellent value for money.

like buckstopper said....it's actually strength. I feel that I need more in my legs when I get to the climbs. on the flats I can go for hours at high output but when the climbs come it feels as if there is nothing there. I lost alot of time on the argus on the hills especially millers point, chappies and suikerbossie. It just feels as if I do not have enough in the legs. Other guys have said that I just need to get triple chainring on the front but I don't want to. Not training with a power meter though....my end result is wanting to climb better.

With roadwork not always being possible in the dark hours of the morning I would like to know if training on the indoor trainer will increase power over the winter months. Weekends I will still be doing roadwork but mornings will be trainer time. After the argus I realised that I need to work harder on power.....need some extra watts to climb a little better. Don't want to buy compact crank if not necessary. Any advice from the pro's out there is welcome....and from the not so pro's
