SLR 125gm without the padding - now about 110gm. Very comfy with Assos shorts. Couldn't get comfortable on my Arione, and my SLR used to make me numb before I took off the padding. Now have the SLR XC gel flow on my mtb too. Love it!

I can second what turtlek said, the yellow swissstop are great on alu and carbon!

Which BBB shorts have you got? Who stocks them in Joburg?

First Ascent service is great - had the previous version of the shorts which stretched terribly and were way too loose. Emailed First Ascent - they told me to post them back. They replaced them AND reimbursed me for postage!! The new material is much better, but the fit and the shammy still doesn't compare to my Assos. (But neither does the price - R300 vs R1900)

I can get a Planet X Stealth new or Cervelo P3C 2nd hand. Is it worth paying R5000 more for the P3C? Are the Zipp Vuka's worth an extra R2000 over other bars I can buy that are lighter (the unbranded pro-lite)? Please help!!

Rode it yesterday - had fun! Will be even better once it's all finished. Noticed that quite a few of the planks are already breaking. Doesn't look like the strongest wood. And need some sort of barrier between the razor mesh fence and the steep start of the black route. My friend barely touched it, and I ended up having to put 3 stitches in his hand.

'Cos I already have the Extralite hubs I have the old DRC rims that weigh about 440g each, but want something lighter now (if I can squeeze a bit more money out the credit card!). My XT wheels are about 1600g already.
