  1. From Discovery website: "Make sure your Vitality points have synced with Vitality before the goal cycle closes every Friday at midnight. We allow until midnight on Tuesday night for data to come through before issuing rewards on Wednesday morning." Not sure if that helps - says sync by Friday midnight, but you have until Tuseday night for it to reflect. (I've found in the past that even if I only sync my Friday workout a day or 2 late, it still works for achieving the goal and getting the reward.)
  2. Anyone know where the 'gym tracker' option in the app has disappeared to?
  3. Thanks! Will be in touch in the new year...
  4. Need help building 2 x bikes for my gardener and his wife - need something that will be as low maintenance as possible. Looking for 2 small frames that I can build up as single speeds. Have an old crank and an old suspension fork that no longer works which should be fine. Might have 1 set of v-brakes already and a set of wheels. Will probably need 2 single speed conversion kits to make it work. Any help would be much appreciated. I don't mind spending a little bit of money on the project....
  5. No, it was me not understanding what I was seeing in the app last week! Also haven't received access to the reward yet this week.
  6. Checked my vitality page in the app - looks like the 3 week cycle is maybe continuous after all (was originally re-set to 0 after last week's reward but now it's at 2 out of 3 again) - so extra reward is possibly still available weekly...
  7. Looking for a vintage Pinarello again for a friend. Please PM me if you know of something available.
  8. Did the route again yesterday afternoon as part of my monthly 'work' visit. Even more beautiful than previously! Amazing what a bit of rain can do. And a rainbow. And it helped that my bike was actually working this time.
  9. I don't mind giving ROW going either way, I just think it might be a bit late to give ROW once I've collided with someone because neither of us knew what was around the corner...
  10. Done it twice now. Even better with the whole route ridable now. Just one question: how does 2 way traffic work on some of those single track sections with no visibility around the corners??
  11. The 5% discount email sign-up didn't work, but they threw in some free-stuff with my order. Arrived within a day of paying for the order. I see the price is still the same. Ordered both front lights and the rear light to play with (told my wife and kids thank-you for the early father's day present). Quality seems good. Front lights seem bright compared to the other lights I have (sorry, no fancy comparison tech stuff - all I can tell is that the beam patterns are all slightly different). I think they'll work fine on my road bike. Nice not to have the extra wires required for an external battery pack. I prefer the strobe on the CS 01 to the Spear 900. (As nice/fancy as some other lights look at R7000, for what I need my Magicshines that I bought about 8 years ago for less than R500 are still going strong with a new battery.) Not overly impressed with the rear light brightness at that price (which was sort of expected at only 30 lumens and after looking at a Mars 30 review online).
  12. The ones on buycyle have internal rechargeable batteries - I haven't tried them yet, but I'm keen.
  13. I like my older xeccon light with very small back and front light and separate wired remote connected to one battery pack (although getting the wiring just right on the bike can be a PITA). Buycycle has the Xeccon lights advertised at the same price as the onedayonly deals: https://www.buycycle.co.za/?subcats=Y&pcode_from_q=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&q=xeccon&dispatch=products.search&security_hash=e3c78be2c5905ee542973232d6d1304b Edit: and there's a 5% discount if you sign up for emails
  14. Had a good ride in VA. Enjoyed the route and the road surface. No traffic issues along the way and it was nice not to have to dodge obstacles the whole way for a change. The bunch wasn't riding dangerously on the wrong side of the road. Feels like money well spent on a race for a change. Thanks ag and Emperors Palace :-)
  15. I have a friend that's looking for a complete vintage Pinarello. Any size. Please let me know if there's anything available.
  16. I'm looking for a large tube of rubber cement glue in Joburg. I can only find the small tubes that come with puncture repair kits. Anyone know where I can buy a large tube of rubber cement glue?
  17. I've been using PerfPro Studio (including analyzer) http://perfprostudio.com/ Brilliant! ANT+ is integrated, has option for spinscan (using computrainer cadence sensor) and lots of other great stuff. Continuously being improved and Drew is great with customer service - responds to questions and requests very quickly. Also a good price compared to Racermate and stand alone ctANT.
  18. I'm very happy I didn't do a second lap - I realised the second lap wasn't going to be any better than the first, so relaxed by the pool with the family instead Had a good weekend at Sondela. Hopefully they can improve the route for next year!
  19. Didn't have enough time for a mountain bike ride this morning, so went and ran the green 18km loop with a friend - AWESOME! I can't wait until it's open during the week too
  20. What cap you talking about?
  21. You on a hardtail or full-susser? Definitely go the wider option if on a hardtail.

    when you ordering?
  23. I'm enjoying my Polar bottles. Fit better in my cages than my Camelbak Podium. Are the Spez ones insulated?
