  1. Yissssssss, It will look GOOOOOOOOOOOD on my RC2000 Who will sponser me????
  2. You want to be naughty again para?
  3. Which for the record is incorrect technique... Well, Then I have to train my left hand to become faster....
  4. All boils down to exclusitivity (damn this Ingelse taal). The harder it is to get, the better the image. Raleighs are given a bad name because it is readily available...
  5. Um' date=' some of us have it and prefer it the other way... [/quote'] Then just swap it around if you prefer it that way.... I'm right handed and can pull the break much harder with the right hand than with the left. The left hand is dumber and slower than the right hand, so my braking always starts with the rear wheel and then the front....
  6. Right - Rear derailer & rear brake Left - Front derailer & front brake.... What's the issue?
  7. Even better when you do it on a "Makro Special" Dunlop MTB costing R449! FlyingCheetah2008-05-16 03:09:38
  8. People, people.... It depends on what you can afford... If you can afford to pay for an imported ride (bicycle or car) that cost more but with lower spec than the local stuff, then do it. Cheaper is not always k@k, but I'll wait before buying something from Chin@.....
  9. Same rules apply to Volkswagen. Because Citi's are cheap, are the Tuareg k@k as well?
  10. Take a Raleigh to cycleart, respray and put fancy Italian stickers on it if you are too ashamed to be seen riding a Raleigh. If I had the money, I would get the "Ugly" Yellow Team Raleigh with a smile!
  11. Very good for you, I'll manage that on a flat route hopefully by the end of the year, as I only started cycling in September 2007.....
  12. Why are you guys going so slow? I manage a 72 km/h . . . . . . . . . . . . . . downhill....
  13. Thanks guys... GPS will actually be good to determine the elevation.
  14. How do you work out the gradient of a hill? If it is an 8% gradient hill, how steep is it?
  15. Aedon, If I understand you correctly: 1. You use the same bike but with different pedals and then experience back pains. or 2. Between road bike and mountain bike you have back pains. Option 1: pedal thickness together with the shoe might differ between the road and mtb combos. This will change your seating height. Adjust accordingly. Option 2: Total seating position, handlebars might be lower in relation to the seat on the MTB causing you to lean more forward than on the road bike.
  16. Yeah, but that's cheating... Highjack on... Did you manage to get the covers for the shifters? Highjack off....
  17. Staying in Waverley Pretoria - Working in Sandton.... 55km one way.... Old JHB road seems to be out of the question, the Taxis will run over you, stop reverse, steal what's not broken and drive off again....
  18. I just got home and pulled into the garage after the race on saturday when the hail started falling in Waverley PTA. If I was 3 mins later I would've been in the middle of the hail storm.....
  19. Thanks to all the Hubbers for a nice ride. I enjoyed it very much. At 1 stage I thought my legs aren't going to make the finish, but quitting wasn't for me. Thx to PB for the bus, CP, FF,Sonic and Gary in the bus. Your support kept me going to the end. Nice chatting to some of the Guys and Gals, Daemon, Lulu, Ox, Wolv, LizzyB, Kona, Scotty (hell, you're tall for your height ), Zaskar, Poketbikes, Delgado etc. Please excuse me if I left out anyone I chatted with on the road. My aim is to do a sub 3 94.7 this year.... Thx again for everything. Being a Hubber is a lot of fun and there's plenty of support.
  20. What type of grease should I use on a bike? I see that I currently have something that looks like Vaceline but with a green tint. What grease is that? Are there different types of cycle grease to use for hubs and BB?
