  1. Nothing wrong with holdfast and you will be supporting a locally made brand!!
  2. Hahaha, no. I would highlite it in pink with italics for sarcasm. From you pic, it looks like you could remove those endcaps for the qr and possibly fit a thru axle.
  3. Have you tried a qr in there?
  4. Same here. I love their enduro and gravity tyres. Grip for days and weighs under a kg.
  5. Thats why i dont ride maxxis tyres. My knobs crack after a few rides, and a few more some of them start removing themselves.
  6. You get adapters for thru axle
  7. That section is for a qr skewer
  8. My WTB's are like that. They tend to seep as well. However I am still rocking them on a HT
  9. Op is talking about these 2 flat plates. I think holdfast made a rack with this type of connection years ago, but have abandoned the idea

  11. A bit unrelated, A farmer in the cederberg managed to get a public road thru his property closed due to motorcyclists misbehaving. If the land owners are proposing to get the road closed/access control whatever. It is possible.
  12. I am fortunate that I stayed one weekend in Wupperthal before the fire destroyed. The people are so friendly. Those buildings seem about right but also very different.
  13. I roadie in an indola baggies and a sportswear shirt. I cant be bothered. I am there to ride a bike not look like I ride/race for a pro team. Each to their own!
  14. The tent is a friends. When we made the booking the weather was supposed to be perfect for the weekend. But you know Murphy the MoFo!!! The cederbergpark is an awesome place. They have tented camps and chalets as well. The hospitality was just awesome and I would definately consider it again, should we be that side of the cederberg.
  15. Was definately an awesome weekend. Enjoy your trip!!
  16. Decided on riding in the rain the sat, was covered in mud but what fun.

  19. When was that? We were on at kromrivier from fri. Got caught in the storm, and this morning it was 1 degree there.

  21. My only gripe with cable discs are the brake fade. With time your pads wear down and so does the engagement point. You will have to constantly adjust cable tension to have a higher bite point.
  22. No need to carry an extra battery The Polini EP3 motor is one of the least bulky on the market and the battery, which is kept well hidden inside the down tube, is one of the longest lasting on our list and packs a range of nearly 200km.
