  1. A 25 year warranty sounds impressive... I wonder what all it covers...
  2. Dunno H, but it looks cool, and if that claimed weight is true, that's real light. But like I said, I'd go Raleigh for my own tandem...
  3. That's a Calfee... its full carbon, reportedly weighs in at 12.4 kg's, with pedals... Frame only is a US$7000.00 I've raced a cannondale tandem, and used a Fuel and a Raleigh... for just starting out, I'd go with a fuel or raleigh...
  4. Exactly... And then sucking the chain won't be a problem either. Which reminds me after a stage of a tour i rode, I overheard my one teammate telling someone to suck his chamois dry. Is that also to do with lubrication?
  5. What? Like with a baseball bat?
  6. What? Suck my chain? See? I knew something bad would happen... Use the wrong lube at the wrong time and you have to suck it off the chain or something... Which one tastes better then? The red or the blue? bob_the_builder2008-05-05 06:23:05
  7. But is it going to ruin my chain if I put the wrong one on?
  8. Ok, wait, then if it's dry the next day, must I put the dry stuff on? What if I get confused - ok, more confused - and ride the bike with the wrong flavour of lube on?
  9. Excuse my ignorance, but can you tell me what to do if you put the dry one on, and it starts raining during the ride? Or if you get up in the morning, and it's raining, but you decide to ride anyway, do you have to clean the chain and put some other lubricant on? Risk damaging the chain with the incorrect lubricant? Do I need to get up an hour earlier now to overhaul the drivetrain before the ride?
  10. Apparently nothing if you come from Germiston ps. clear your pm box... bob_the_builder2008-05-05 05:24:24
  11. Are these the same guys who have 20" spinners on their Camry's ....... The shiny plastic ones...
  12. So does that mean they are good wheels or k@k wheels?
  13. Nah, not yet, should be end of may.
  14. yeah, it's pretty dumb Well yeah, that's what I meant, I just didn't want to say it I hope that you are only talking to the person that is suggesting 5-6K wheels. The list of wheels that I (the one who started this thread) am aquiring about are all under 2k. But you shourly knew that.......... But thanks for all the advice. Sorry... got my wires crossed, but you know what I meant I hope... Out of your list I'd go with the Fulcrum 7's or Khamsins.
  15. Good call colonel.
  16. Ok, we let colonel do the testing
  17. true replication is impossible So? The aim of statistics is to allow for non-"replicability". If all systems were non-stochastic we would not have any need for statistics. So the fact we have a stochastic system (no true replication) means we can use statistics - under the correct circumstances. As for "true replication": ask Rick Deckard... Oh no, not Blade Runner... I just don't get how people are so in awe of the pile of poo.
  18. Yes yes yes. (one for each bob...)
