  1. Chainreactioncycles.com. vat + Postage.
  2. 'Mampara" : Yip unfortunately that is true, wish these idiots would just wake up!!!! there are way to many of them. Flea: This road, although being gravel, is a public very well used road. There are cars riding on it all the time. Imagine the biker came face to face with a car coming down there.
  3. Ok, I realize that this case may be unique and I am in no way generalizing that MTB riding is as dangerous as far as serious accidents go. (Compared to road riding) This happened on Friday afternoon just up from the Gona river in Knysna. Anyone who has done the Knysna Oyster Festival ride will remember the river with the pump station in the valley just before the second nasty climb. We where riding a part of the route from the other side and where decending down to the river. I got to the river first and was waiting for the other two riders, when two motor bikes (scramblers) came screaming past in the opposite direction. The one rider was on the wrong side of the road and came around the blind corner and hit the one cyclist head on...... To cut a long story short, we raced him to hospital with ER24. The Victim had a broken femur just above the knee and a fractured pelvis in three places with some minors to his ankle, face and hands. He went into surgery on Sat and has started his very long recovery. He is 21 years old. A very big UP to ER24 who were there in no time at all and provided fantastic support. BE CAREFULL PEOPLE!!!!!! This just emphasized how exposed we are on our bicycles and just how quickly things can go wrong no matter where you ride. Be prepared with cell and emergency no's always. wesf2009-03-16 00:06:08
  4. Damn!!!!!! that looks like one of those delivery bikes bought through a business for tax refund.
  5. Thats not saying much for your Cannondale.
  6. Look at the quality if of the components and not at the frame. Easier to upgrade the frame @ a later stage. My 1c worth
  7. Get the shoes only if you are sure you will still save on the local price by adding 30%. Bike components = no duties. Dont think dvd's get charged either. Just pay vat on this side.
  8. You need to let the white lightning dry proper before you ride, stay clean. The black color with wet lube is not the prob, its the sand and grit that sticks to it that is.
  9. I am yet to find a wet lube that leaves it looking clean after a ride, however it is essential in wet conditions. As far as dry lube goes, white lighting or squirt
  10. head over to my previous post.... many options. https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=44225
  11. Thanks, And thats what i did.... Time all the way. Sticking with what i know. will try eggbeaters for sure one day though.
  12. You are looking for trouble doing yourself. Leave it to the pro's
  13. Buy a Fox air and forget the excessive servicing
  14. Invest in tubless ..... The canisters work great, allot quicker.
  15. Put the spacers below the stem. Will change the bar height but will not look as crap.
  16. I agree, go after the best componets for your money wich in most caseswill be a HT. you can always do a frame transplant later 'cause the components will still be good.
