One question though, why does it sometimes feel like my back wheel has a puncture when it's fine. Is it just that some of the roads around Cape Town are that bad???

Yes Rapid Sport Very cheap, compared to other brands. Very friendly, compared to other bike shops. Their shorts, however, can improve on the padding. I also reckon if you just starting out and not sure whether cycling is for you, but want to try it anyway, Rapid will kit you out (top and shorts) for R440.00.

yep i've got a polar hrm, which I bought for spinning actually and then started using it for cycling. I'll have to check in cape town where polar has their workshops. and I agree, with another interest rate hike before xmas, that power tap hub and monitor is only a dream for me too.
