  1. You can easily track people on Google maps usIng google latItude. It works brilliantly. Just download Google maps and make sure the other person has it too. In Google maps go to latitude and invite them to join. When they accept, they can track you. You can also set how closely they can track you. Town or best possible location.

    DNF at Epic

Did you see the guy right at the end of show (epic day 3 round up on ss) throw his bike into the gate? What a spoilt brat. Poor sportsmanship at its best!
  5. I was in Sodwana last week and, although i didn't have my bike, I definitely kept an eye out for good places to ride in future. The only place is on the beach. Everywhere else is SOFT beach sand and there is ABSOLUTELY no fun in riding that. The beach however looks like an AWESOME place to ride. The line between the high and low tide is huge and seems really hard underfoot. That said, the first 2km's or so will be bad as that is the section where vehicles are allowed. Thereafter you have MILES of beach without a single foot print on it. It really is a nice place to go even if it's not for the ride but rather the experience. I took this picture on the beach. Nothing but beach for MILES AND MILES! http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r86/rhodeso/2011-12-30104447.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r86/rhodeso/2011-12-30105639.jpg
  6. Anyone else got local videos to post?
  7. I rode on the Friday. The only issue with those cameras is that the lens gets dirty easily and then the video is blurry. If you don't wipe it regularly you won't be able to see any of your ride. It made quite a nice effect though. Perfect for a transition. I have a much better song on there too but You Tube doesn't let you upload licensed content so i had to choose from their library of songs. Not ideal to say the least.
  8. NICE! The slow mo is VERY dramatic! ha ha ha I have never seen those jumps at near DHL. Are they still there?
  9. I took my go pro for a little spin on the Spruit the other day and edited the video on iMovie. I think i have done a STERLING job! What do you think? PS: I don't need any comments about how tired i look!

  14. I will just bring it with me on the plane, or i could post it, either way it should work out cheaper. As i said, im just toying with the idea. Might not make any sense. It will definitely be the hard way!
  15. Hi, I'm currently living in Italy and will be returning home at the end of the month. I thought while the price of bikes is so good here i might as well buy a frame or two and bring it back with me to sell in SA, i know i won't make a fortune but i think i could make something and every little bit counts. My question is this... What frame should i buy? I have been looking at Connondales, Specializeds and Scotts(Mainly because they are readily available). Any suggestions as to which model will sell best in your opinion? 29 or 29? If i do decide to bring in a frame or two will I be required to pay and import duties? As i said, I'm just looking at the options and gaining some opinions. Anyone wanting a particular frame, i will try price it.
  16. They not ok at all. All three lions were put down for doing what lions do, kill. What BS! (WoW it's late I should be asleep and leaving these types of problems for daylight)
  17. How much will the airline charge you? Have you enquired? If the bike is not new. Would you need to pay any duties or import taxes? I have also been thinking about this, from the UK.
  18. How did you buy a bike? I don't see bikes on their site (I know you said on the phone but...). Do they sell bikes? Why don't they have any on the site, or am I just being stupid and seriously missing something here? (It wouldn't be the first time.)
  19. Safe!
  20. Ha ha ha! Well, at least you thought it was a good point!
  21. going to mcdonalds for a salad is like going to the brothel for a hug.... WHAT? Motorcyclists/cyclist need to be more careful and to avoid accidents A bumper bashing in a car could result in death for a motorcyclist. Only rarely do you find cyclist riding in a single-file and until they do, they will be knocked over. Sad but true! The first step towards safer roads lies in your hands. Motorbikes - Don't ride between the traffic unless you KNOW it will be safe. - If you intend to stick to the rules of the road, why not have a number plate? -Stick to speed limits -Don't weave between traffic. -Look left, look right and look left again!!! (this one's from std1) Bicycles - Ride in single file. - Don't ride thought red robots - Check before go straight across an entrance cars might be turning left into - Wear reflective gear if you will be riding in the dark. These are things that will keep you alive and these are the things that i never see anyone doing. Its simple really! OR Just ride a mountain bike! It's more fun anyway!
  22. Why do motorist have to think for motorcyclists? I don't see why i should give special attention to a motorcyclist who is weaving through traffic believing that the cars will look out for him. I hate moving out the way for bikes in the traffic because they very rarely thank you and only 1 in 10 has a number plate! Why do they get away with it? I think it's BULL Sh*T! Obviously i wouldn't try to hit them and i am very aware of what is going on in the traffic but if they shoot down the center lanes like they do every morning, then they are going to be knocked over. Bikers must THINK CAR or be knocked over!!!
