I chatted to your wife after the fact, and saw some of the action. One of my friends were also there that was a non member and I made him pay using snapscan beforehand. As a TBMTB member we read that we should ask and observe and help police the trails. I personally do not ask for permits/payment if I see non members riding with members, as I assume they will make them pay themselves. Unfortunately as in any sport there are always a bunch of cocks that act like children, and these guys were exactly that. Personaly i couldnt care less what a race costs and I for one did not complain. I don't measure a race/funride on its price. I measure it on the experience/enjoyment/organisation. And if you really want to get technical : you climbed a lot more on buffet olives. So the climbing per rand is more than durbie dash... Opinion is like an asshole. we all have them. but that is just what it is. An opinion.

I did 5 of these before. This year, my experience was that the organisations were freaken shocking. The mtb race got send the wrong way 100m after the start. People were coming down the downhill track at contermans. There were NO trail markers at Conties. Did the Olives buffet yesterday. NOW THAT IS A NICE RACE. rant off

E group was the bunch to be in. A couple of the Craft boys also put some effort in to keep the pace up. Great to reap the results of teams working together. Was a good one.
