Really?? KCNC V's are the reason I'm looking at getting Disc brakes now. But if I look at the weight of Disc setup I think I might be just as well off with my XTR's and aVID Single Dail lever set up, it's only about 550grams and the stopping power was far better than the KCNC's and a crap loa dmore reliable. Thx Ninja Manic, thx for the weights, I'm workingmy way thru CRC Disc brake section and you can't reall ytrust the weights they are quoting. The weights are just for one disc brake right, either a front or Bake, of is that the combined front and rear weights?? The Formula R1's?? I don't see them on CRC site, they only have the Formula The One Brakes..

It's only 20g lighter than the Juicy Carbons and I'm not paying a extra R2300 for 20grams, fokkit.

Oij fellow Weight weenie pansies, I'm thinking of switching over to disc brakes. So, what are the lightest one's I can buy?? The weight of a complete front and back incl rotor, bolts, levers ect will be appreciated?? I like the look of the Mini Hope X2's, Formula One, Avids Ultimites Carbons and the Heynes one's, so the brand don't really matter, just the weight of the complete system.

Yeah, also a bit pissed the results are nowhere available...but then again I'm still trying to get my results from the Franshoek Mtb race sorted out from 2weeks back.

A, shame man! Hate when that happens!! Well, it is the story of my life, it happens to me 99.9%. Just staying with the guys is hard enough, then you still need extra energy to sprint. My little engine not big enough yet, glad to see it happens to the "master sprinters" also:-P

I'm going to try the sprinting in my drops and if my Powermeter shows no increase in Power Output I'm going to put this "myth" to rest.
