  1. Why should I have to select clothing size when buying gloves. This after waiting forever for the site to load on very fast fibre. Get your product attributes sorted. It’s not rocket science.
  2. It could be the Hope spacer I used. I run Hope so I figured I’d spend the almighty R450 on a single mount adapter. Worked out in the end.
  3. Can confirm that is correct. Using the same to space my Pike to take a 203mm rotor. I didn’t need the washers though.
  4. Fell off or stolen off?
  5. In my experience outsurance is a massive ripoff. They wanted to charge me R2500 a month on a Z4 while my current insurer was R1100. I now pay R2700 a month for two cars, two bikes, and home contents.
  6. Get a quote for comprehensive cover as part of your home owners insurance. R100k Evil and R65k Specialized covered for about R450 a month.
  7. I’m seriously happy for you!
  8. Does this mean you recovered the bike?
  9. Thanks so much. I can find a lot of riders that start in Midstream and do a variation of it but not the actual route.
  10. I had a look on Trailforks and the map is a bit outdated. Segments such as Flow Track isn’t there and various segments are unnamed.
  11. Mostly entertaining. Thank you.
  12. I need the ride on Strava specifically for segment names, route profile etc.
  13. I want to do the 42km, not the 3km
  14. Can anyone please share a strava ride of the 42km route? Keen to try it out tomorrow.
  15. I miss my swift so much. Would have been the perfect base for a gravel bike. Even with the Ragley Carnegie bars.
  16. Thanks. Will have to pull out the old iMuscle app to pin point the location.
  17. It was a brand new pair of shoes and my initial setup was to get the ball of my foot over the axle as I normally ride like that on flats. Cleat is pushed over to inside to push out my foot a bit. 100% sure it comes down to setup in this case.
  18. Odd. I have soft hands, thin gloves, and the correct setup with the correct grips. No calluses at all. I spend quite a bit of time in the saddle. Say about 10 hours a week.
  19. It’s doesn’t work for me so I’ll call it bs when it applies to my riding. I’m not in the least bit new to this. It doesn’t work for me and it has never worked for me. I consider myself a little bit above technically decent. Not my first rodeo.
  20. One thing to add. The “you can push and pull to increase efficiency” is utter bs to me. My riding style is spinning the gears vs pushing a harder gear. It doesn’t work for spinning. Not for me anyways. I’m sure it’s good on road riding and dirt roads. Not on single track and tech trails.
  21. A glove isn’t going to remedy a bad fit or grip that isn’t the right size. Get the twist of the bar, height of the bar, size of the grips right and then ride in the thinnest palm gloves you can find. Leatt makes great ones in full finger. Padded gel gloves etc is asking for calluses.
  22. Back on clips for the first time in 10 years or so. I’ve spent at least 50% of my cycling career on flats and the other 50% clipped in so I knew what to expect today. Clipped in is a real game changer. Not for the better and not for the worse. Findings: My average speed though the 20km trail we ride all the time stayed exactly the same. Couple of new PRs on the climbs. Not related to the pedals though. I lost weight this week and knowingly pushed a little harder on sections. I love how you can make micro adjustments with the whole bike by lifting the wheel with the pedals. Bad habit but a very useful one. I can do the same on flats but I hardly ever do. I pick better lines with flats. I hate jumps when clipped in. Even when using the correct technique I feel that attachment to the pedals will affect the bike in the air. I hate the disconnected feel between the soles and the pedal. Yes I’m using the pins that came with the pedals and no spacer on the cleats. Still not a solid contact patch. Being light on the bike and not worrying about slipping a pedal is nice. Then again I’ve never in 8 years slipped a pedal with Five Tens. Speed at which I can get my foot out is the same as getting my foot off a flat pedal. Muscle memory from years of racing downhill clipped in. More numb toes than with flats. Smaller unsupported platform I think. I don’t hate being clipped in. I don’t love it either. Pedals used : DMR V-Twin Shoes used: Afton
  23. Still a UX disaster on mobile.
  24. Sounds like that roid is at least 2kg right there. Congrats on the first 20kg. Massive achievement.
  25. That is one sexy looking whitey. Congrats dude. Many happy smiles per hour.
