  1. So this is today's thread for insults and name calling and plain old petty childish behavior?
  2. Exactly why I signed it and shared it. To help with the awareness.
  3. I have to agree. When last did any of these petitions do anything more than just create temporary awareness? Who can even remember what the last petition was? e-tolls? Stop Malema? etc etc? Rather spend the time and money on creating lasting awareness. Stop expecting other people to protect you and do it yourself. Awareness and preparedness is the best form of protection you can ask for. I have signed it as a sign of support, not in the hope it will suddenly get the police to wake up. It's not like one of them fat asses will put down his piece of chicken and say "eish we must go there and catch the tsotsi's"
  4. Over the years I used Shimano BRM-515. Shimano XTR, Hope Race X2, Formula and Magura Gustav M, Tekro Cable Discs In order of preference: Hope Shimano Magura Formula Can't comment on Avid or Hayes as I've never used them. I did ride a patchy DH bike with Avid Codes and they felt very nice. I also loved the feel of the SLX brakes and the XTs
  5. I will admit it. Looks better than the Tech 3 V4 levers.

  7. Especially in the south of the USA.
  8. I will not argue that Shimano makes really good feeling brakes. I love the on-off feel of the levers. Super nice even down the the entry level BRM-525 models. I had XTR on the Singular and I they really worked well. Light 1-finger braking, easy to maintain etc. Went with Hopes due to a failure on the front caliper. Happy that I did. Im fitting an XTR/SLX hydbrid system on the Jamis soon.
  9. It really is a good looking bit of kit. Has a very mass produced look about it but then again so does, Avid, Hayes etc. The machined look of Hope is my personal preference. Being XTR you would expect the two halves of the caliper to align a little better. A bit like buying a Porsche with inconsistent panel gaps.
  10. Challenge accepted but I highly doubt Ill make it as a full run haha. Then again I do love my Johnny Black.
  11. Just because "Pila se kind" is too obvious.
  12. Day trip to Pila please. LIke BikeBaling said, we can get drunk anywhere. Plus i'd much rather be drunk on adrenalin.
  13. I have some plain old platforms that you can have. Randburg area.

  16. Are you sure we are talking about brake fluid?
  17. Sounds about right.
  18. Quite normal if you are new to cycling. Get into the habit of standing up to pedal every couple of minutes. You don't mention if it is road or mtb but the same advice applies to both. Try and find a flat and straight piece to do it on. Not just on the climbs.
  19. Did the same
  20. Exactly. I know Super_mil from chatting to him maybe 3 times in my life. I know Omega Man from the arrangements for the France trip next year. There are maybe 6 people on this forum I know personally and ride with on a regular basis. The assumptions about what we do is astounding.
  21. Clearly you can't answer my question about "going at the lycra crowd"... Just goes to show how obsessed you have become with me. Get a new hobby dude. This is getting old.
  22. Thank you. One person that got the joke.
