  1. I'm lazy to search. Who has the best price? I found for R599 each. That's more than the Hope rotors.
  2. Sure got me to sit up.
  3. No brakes.... NUTS!
  4. Order the XTs locally?
  5. XT / SAINT ICE-TECH units at around R475 each?
  6. Also... Am I correct in saying you can run the Tech 3 V4 on a 183mm rotor at the back. IIRC the V2 only allowed 203mm rotors. Checked the tech sheet http://www.hopetech.com/webtop/modules/_repository/documents/2014Tech3EVOX2-E4-V4.pdf No mention of limitations.
  7. I also like the look of the XT units. Clean and minimal. Not a huge fan of how the Hope units look. Plus the vented rotors are R1200 each
  8. 203mm V4 rotors vs the normal 203mm floating rotors. Are they worth the price premium. Especially since I only ever ride the spruit. And by spruit I mean PDS.
  9. I little saving online is not worth it. Support local and get the guarantee. Especially on something like brakes.
  10. I am talking about performance yes. Also talking about the forks in general, not specific models. The RST I took off my Jamis weighs 3kg, has zero rebound control, tops out, only about 90mm of the claimed 130mm works. The I know of the Titan model in 140mm travel that is smooth as butter and light weight. Most of my DH racing was done on RST forks. I could strip and service on in 30 minutes. Also upgraded all of them to be home responsive. Had 381s, 461DH, Mozo Pro, Mozo DH etc. Only other fork I had on the bike was a White Brothers UD 150. Bottom line. RST makes a good product but don't expect Fox or Rock Shox performance.
  11. RST had been around forever. They make good forks but don't expect a BMW from a Toyota budget. They also tend to weigh a little more.

I wish man. Watch Strength in Numbers from Anthill Films. Place is called the Post Office
  13. In theory should also lighter as they can make the steerer out of a thinner walled tube.
  14. Welcome to the rest of your life. Keep it up!
  15. Still going strong. Really going through some hectic **** at the moment and the temptation is really big but I push through. Everybody else? Still strong? I know Dirty Sanchez is still clean. Almost a year for him.
  16. I just left a really big puddle under my desk. That is a work of art. Congratulation sir!
  17. Why not. It might hurt a little on the climbs but it can work.
  18. Museum piece right there. Wow its in good condition!
  19. Having coffee at Fairy Goth Mother before work in the mornings haha.
  20. 7 Days later and I still have "Your item, posted on 31/10/13 with reference RU.......GB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in SOUTH AFRICA" Guess it is still in transit. Not in SA yet. Tried to convert the number on the EMS website. Hope it gets here at some point
  21. Not sure if it is a progressive system but from the Hope site
  22. Woof indeed. Sucks that I'm missing this one. Unfortunately happens the weekend before I move house. Just won't work out.
  23. I see what you did there. Bell or bell?
  24. In a couple of weeks I will be 900m from work. Looking forward to a 5 minute ride in the mornings vs the 30 minutes in a cage I spend now.
  25. Normally from 16:00. Hope to be able to be there this Friday.
