  1. its the right thing to do, like paying your TV license
  2. thats the one
  3. sorry, but you would have to pay me to wear that.
  4. not me, steal from the government as much as you can. They rob us blind all the time
  5. if i cant walk the next day, I'm unfit
  6. well, to start off, I would look for some decent second hand bikes. My guess is that you will start riding the small stuff, dirt trails, cross counrty maybe one or two small races. the bug will bite and you will want to push a little harder, faster, start doing a few jumps. Before you know it, (after a few falls) your bike will be trashed. so basically treat your first MTB as a consumable.
  7. check out my profile, I just bought one. Have not ridden it yet though so cant comment yet
  8. education starts at home. The only thing we can do is teach our children. I agree with everything already said, but i am afraid this is one of those battles we are going to loose. The Argus is just 1 race a year. I see people throw stuff out their car windows every single day. Its discusting
  9. I have had 2 bikes stolen now. my motto is klap first ask questions later. I cant wait to see either of my bikes on the road. Was he going to fast to catch him?
  10. can anyone say "presidential favours"
  11. So Shaik is back in hospital. WTF.
  12. okay, i get everyones point about its up to the individual to do what they like with their money, but I have access to composite technology, in other words i can make light stuff but when i look at how much effort and cost it takes to save a few grams on a single component, i wonder to myself, is it really worth it. So to answer my question, how much would you spend per 100g. R1000 per 100g? R2000 per 100g. Or does it just have to look nice
  13. How much extra would you spend to save a 1kg on your bike. I am amazed on how much people spend to save a few kilos when clearly they also need to go on a diet. Or is it all about the ego.
  14. Why dont they limit entries, is it all about the money.
  15. I suppose when I eventually become an "Ultimate Hubber" i will appreciate single speed bikes. I ditched my BMX many years ago. Maybe its because i live in Natal and we have serious hills to contend with.
  16. I used to own a BMX.
  17. NICE.
  18. Left of the yellow line has all sorts of hazzards such as glass, litter, nails so there is no argument there where we would prefer to ride. But when we ride 3 side by side, thats a problem. All cyclists are also motorists. Lets not forget that.
  19. 20 forks, now thats a lot of hard work. You might find that the supplier did not prep the forks properly before painting. I would suggest sand down and remove any excess paint with acetone. Paint stripper is evil stuff. My guess is that you will probably have to respray, because if the manufacturer cant perp and spray correctly, chances are that the weave is probably very untidy with a bit of filler too.
  20. Well thats great to hear from someone who actually rides one. The shop has a medium in stock but i put my name down to test a small when it arrives next week. I want to be able to throw it around a bit and i am on the short side. (173).
  21. Any good songs on it?
