  1. Based on experience I would hazard a guess at 300-400 dollars. Some websites like the DHL one have a calculator that will give you a fair indication of the price.
  2. Oh my. That is AMAZING!!!! I wonder what it weighs?
  3. What is the damage for one of those?
  4. I just went and measured. 88.5cm from top of seat to centre of BB.
  5. $380 - expensive!! Once I added in shipping and taxes the frame cost as much as it would have cost to get here. The reason I imported myself was just for availability reasons.
  6. Only the Roubaix. The frame is the correct size for me, I am happy with it and the BG fit system agrees with me.
  7. I saw myself in a race on super cycling last week and I was literally head and shoulders above the rest of the peleton. I think I don't get as much benefit from drafting as everyone else.
  8. I am 195cm so not THAT tall in the greater scheme of things but I do seem to be particularly long in the leg. I had a BG fit a couple of years ago when I go my first proper road bike and my seat was much lower but I have over time lifted it and am much happier with it higher. Cranks are 175cm. I wanted longer but none were available and I didn't fancy waiting.
  9. re - Frame size... Long legs and short body. It is still a 61 (XXL) so a very big frame. Not sure too many manufactures do anything bigger. Certainly Specialized don't. With that setup it fits me like a glove and is very comfortable. Actually thinking of taking a couple of spacers out from under the stem as well.
  10. It's a 61 (XXL). Its a stock paint job - Neon Red it's called. I bought it in the US, it is one of the colours they have there. They have a much bigger range than Specialized bring into SA.
  11. My new bike....decided to opt of something other than black this time. And yes I do need the seat that high. Very long legs. 6.7kg is race mode.
  12. (Controversy Alert) Is it possible that that is too black? It almost looks a bit boring to me. Needs some nice white/red highlights on it to give it a bit of life. That new SRAM groupset is absolutely beautiful though.
  13. That is waaaaaaaaay too expensive and the distances are way to short. Even at a cruising pace 50km is going to take the average joe less than two hours. For 2k a day, that is 1k an hour to ride my bike. Otherwise I like that idea.
  14. This is going to be me when I head on for my first race on my new Tubbys. No idea how to change the tyres what so ever.
  15. The solution is surely obvious if you know the guy selling it? Borrow it and ride it. If it fits and you're comfy buy it. If it doesn't, don't.
  16. I agree 100%.
  17. Whatever it is, it is seriously nice!
  18. My missus has a fair understanding of bicycles so it is difficult to hide anything from her. Fortunately she is also fairly understanding.
  19. some nice toy purchasing going on out there. Keep up the good work!
  20. Getting new stuff is the best part of this sport. Particulary if you are a roadie where looks are all important!! I just pulled the trigger on some Zipp 404FCs tubulars! They should, with a little luck arrive early next week. Can't wait. My bike will be nudging 6.7kg with those on.
  21. that is what this is for https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/116861-boast-about-your-latest-purchases-here/
  22. I though the sport of mountain biking was the real winner !?!
  23. Nice bike but the drop on the handle bars looks very odd.
  24. on that I am not sure... I did not install it myself, only removed it.
  25. I just removed one of these from a carbon frame on Saturday. It just pushed out with a very gentle tap from a rubber mallett, no harm done at all.
