  1. The tubeless slime dries out over time and loses its self-sealing properties. One solution has been to add more slime, but at some stage the weight of the dry muck must start to outweigh the benefits of going tubeless.. So the options are : - rip thewhole lot out and start over... - add some solvent to wet the existing slime - what can be used? water?

  3. you must strip and reseat the tubeless strip. Unfortunately when the tyre goes flat the strip can move and then it will never seal when its in the wrong place. use soap water when inflating so the tyre doesnt shift the strip when settling
  4. I do it for the weight loss ;-).. but up to 3 weeks before an event
  5. Nice pic... remember that corner, pretty steep.
  6. spray and cook
  7. Have a 26.8 seatpost that needs to go into a 27.2 frame. So 0.2 mm space all round. The thickest shim stock that can be sourced form my mates engineering place is 0.13mm, and not sure this can be machined... any ideas?
  8. loving 'Gives you Hell' at the moment - All american rejects. Good video too
  9. and this is relevant how? whats the cutoff for how much they need to have done for the sport to be indemnified from ripping customers off?
  10. Although the organisers say this was part of a bigger 'outbreak' none of the supporters that met us in Scottburg were affected. I think also it was mainly adventure people that went down, so I am suspecting something race realated. Prime suspect is the free chicken roll at the finish. Happily mine passed in 2 days - but they were a bad 2 days.
  11. man the bottom of my world was falling out this weekend! I also thought it may have been the shmud on the way, but those chicken rolls at the end were dodgy coming to think of it.
  12. worked great... rode F, D, C and never waited for singletrack. then there was the mud...
  13. I slide back the sunroof cover (glass roof) when the bikes are on, so I remember not to go into the garage. So far so good, but would also like a better solution.

  17. Love the cars that 'must' overtake on the little bends before the dam wall on emmarentia. Its not like someones going to push in ahead of them, and they always end up waiting at the next 3 traffic lights anyway. The road is rough, badly cambered and you are doing 40kmh. The last thing you need is a car insisting on overtaking as well. and then there's Randburg taxi drivers....
  18. depends on the relative sizes of the economies - so not much in the short term!
  19. .75% not .75mm? CaptainDura you turncoat!

  21. got my stuff on saturday (31st). Turns out there was ain issue with 2 derailers I ordered. They were in stock when I ordered but there was a subsequent problem. They replaced the derailer with similar as per my request, but only did it for one of the derailers - I ordered 2. Between this and the high volumes - my order was only shipped 24th - ordered 13th. A little annoyed, but overall I will order again. Hope the rest of you have your stuff!
  22. Nice race, was expecting more mud - I think we were lucky. The start sucked, and the 2nd lap seemed to go much quicker that the first (suspect these are related). The guys not riding the obstacles need to make way for the people that are!
  23. Hello Thank you for your email. Your order is currently in our warehouse being selected and should be dispatched shortly. We apologize for the slight delay as we are currently experiencing extremely high volumes of orders due to our January Sale. Kind Regards Sheila
