  1. Have emailed customer services, so lets see what they say..
  2. my order has been sitting processing for a week.... anyone else waiting? Its strange because all items were in stock and they usually ship next day. I did send a follow up email and got a reply saying they were very busy, but a week seems excessive....
  3. No, too young, he is 24
  4. Am interested ? only seeded CC. But that is not a fair reflection. Cycle Challenge' date=' with their indices calculations, did not include the cape races, except the Argus, despite having promised to include all long league races of the cape. This gives a serious advantage to the Gautenger?s whose local races are mostly included in the seeding. Only started cycling a year ago but have done all the race I could. Presently seeded in the <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Cape at an indices of +-28. Have been practicing during winter. So 3h10 seems good to me. Might catch-up with you. Will be wearing my Cape Town Outrider kit = blue + white. [/quote'] Good thing, I will look out for you coming up. I will be wearing Stanlib kit, as yet unseen, but rumoured to be black and white this year. At almost 100kg, you will not likely miss me. Probably see you around witkoppen hill or just after.
  5. anyone around Y that reckons on doing 3:00 - 3:15 ?
  6. These are the best.... ask them if there will be snacks at the presentation. Tell them you have never won a prize before - can you bring your family? Tell them about your 4 kids, aunt Mavis and your mother in laws boyfriend who is just out of jail. I find the calls drop after this point.
  7. ask them what they are wearing.... tell them how glad you are that they called and that you need to speak to someone. put phone on desk and leave it for a while. Pickup 5 minutes later. If they are still there, ask them to hold on a second... and put the phone down. wont stop them, but will amuse you no end. or maybe just me.
  8. punctured on the morning ride today.... I see a lot of this happening lately - cant wait for the roads in JHB to get washed clean by the first rains. Anyway, got home and lined up the tube with the tyre, and it looks like a shard of glass went clean thru the tyre and tube. There is about a 3mm slash in the tread area... its not bulging open or showing the tube, so I am debating whether this warrants changing the tyre...? Thoughts? I am aout halfway thru the tyre at this stage.
  9. to be fair i did use to work at a dsy company... but yes, its easier when you actually read the material!
  10. do some races and log them via sa- active.. 15 000 points and bonus 500 points by may.... puts heart monitors, gym in the shade when it comes to racking up points
  11. Apparently SAA like these very much!
  12. wonder if theres another car raffle this year... it was done last year because they had so much money left over from entry fees as they didnt expect so much sponsorship, said farmer glen.

    SANI2C DVD

you get the daily photo slide shows as well. The tv coverage seems more extensive than the tv edits I have seen- starts 2 weeks before the race with the course prep.
  15. got my DVD (eventually) and I must say it is very professionally done. Most impressed. Had a quick look and managed to even spot myself in the photos- must've been a bit tired on the actual night. Was a bit disappointed the photos are in a movie format as well, so cant realy print them off, but overall happy. Seeing as entry time is soon, it has really got me all fired up again. Infact quite a few people who saw the coverage on TV of the events have shown interest. Really shows you what a difference these kind of things make. Well done Farmer Glen!brianj2008-07-10 06:56:38

    Raleigh

cost more than that to get a bike down there and back from jhb
  18. I was recently in the same position... I bought a full carbon, full ultegra giant tcr for under 10k, I decided to buy 'almost new' because you can get a really good deal and road bikes dont wear as much as mtbs
  19. my worst road was the back road in tanzania from malawi to uganda along the lhs of lake victoria.. max speed 25kmh, a bad section of 500km in 3 days driving 24h, with lots of breakdowns, sometimes a few km away from rwandan refugeee camps
  20. sometimes in africa, the tar is just holding the potholes together and its easier to drive next to the road... this happens for many km, esp in moz. But last time I was driving up, the world bank and china were building good roads up north.. North of Vilanculous is the worst stretch...
  21. my wife called me to come and watch... she thought it may have been Sani2c! lol
  22. middle ring has to go, for sure... check chain separately. Those are proper shark fins.
  23. thats not a real bruise.... fall off your bike properly!
