  1. Dear God, please let any one but Lance win the TDF. Cheers, Me
  2. This morning we got the news of Farrah. Then there were news reports of MJ going to hospital. I flicked to fox news, to cnn and sky to see coverage of the hospital, waiting to see if it was true, as it was fresh news and unconfirmed, hoping he wasn't. It took a couple of hours to get a definate report. I remember him in Jackson five and loved it when he moved onto his solo career. I also remember the huge fuss when 'thriller' was released, and saw it on a outdoor video screen in the middle of a our CBD. Today I listened to his cd in the car-my favourites start with 'b'. Billy Jean, Beat it, Black or white, Bad. He was fabulously talented, no one can take that away from him.
  3. I'm also angry that everytime I want to get into bed, my cat is asleep, lying just below my pillow and I can't get in. I have to squeeze into a tiny space left over and not move the doona. It's very chilly.
  4. he can't help it, riding past said school. glad it's not in my neighbourhood
  5. righteo...I see not all are cycling related rants so I can feel at home getting something off my chest. to my dear doctor, when you tell me negative news, I will be upset. As you have seen, in person many times, bad news makes me cry. I don't know why you underestimate how I will react, even after our long telephone communique about this. Please don't make me tell you again. *sigh*
  6. hi velo! thanks for sharing...that's classic. Max Armstrong?? did you see him flash the peace sign at 2 days old! ROFL
  7. off topic.......is it a public holiday in SA today? hub is quiet
  8. what's wrong with that. It's sometimes used as a dating site, too
  9. Peace Train by Cat Stevens. I was just listening to it as I was driving and for the first time heard ''peace train, holy roller''! anyway, made me giggle. (I don't know what the heck otherwise it means)
  10. I would have posted pics but it's too hard!
  11. I saw these stories both on todays news. One was about naked cycling day, held in London on Saturday, the other is about a beer bicycle. I think Bob would be keen http://images.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://www.picobello.to/fietscafe.jpg&imgrefurl=http://conortje.wordpress.com/2007/05/08/i-want-to-ride-my-bicycle/&usg=__FHxMQlUjMU9QzWsWDpnZobcsMJ4=&h=412&w=481&sz=200&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=uo8Ss9w7D4N6hM:&tbnh=110&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbeer%2Bbicycle%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1W1RNWE_en%26sa%3DG%26um%3D1 http://golondon.about.com/b/2009/05/30/world-naked-bike-day-london-2009.htm
  12. I couldn't agree more. This idea wont help at all. I've seen so much crap posted, just to get a count up and see the poster imply they're 'well known' when they actually aren't. Sorry you had a bad experience, paul.
  13. why, did he miss the chance on here? rad, just edit it out or delete what you can.
  14. it's a fun ride, not the olympics or national titles. Prizemoney or prizes are best IMHO

  17. So too did I see her race here. I'm absolutely gutted to read this. It's so very sad. My condolences to her family.fiasm2009-05-25 19:33:43
  18. why? because it was a big girls blouse too?
  19. Yes you can. Two words: Alfa Romeo. The owners are always going on about passion and whatnot. Makes for great roadside conversation as you wait for the tow truck. Similarly critical are smart alecs referring to Fiats, saying it stood for Fix It Again Tony...nothing could be further from the truth. I owned one for 13 years, drove the hell out of it and it never failed me.
  20. just ask greyowl, slave.
  21. she's been back after a very lengthy absense. onehill...who cares if he has pierced nipples, at least he's always nice.
  22. 1hill, you'd be very good.
  23. let Admin decide yet hopefully he'll pick someone who's not a double poster
  24. ppwtf, my grandma taught me that about 25 years ago. It's a great alternative to an icecream
